I stay very careful on the pilot episode of a new show, especially in anime because 20 mins usually isn't enough for me to be invested in something. I'm waiting for some more character development to see where the story is going, and some more world building as well. That said, it looks promising !
Chainsaw man and Bleach are the highlights of this season. Too bad you need to be caught up with Bleach to watch the newest arc (that came out after 10 years of the anime stopping).
It certainly made me sadder than in the manga, and that's a positive. The tone is so good. The entire production is so polished it's astonishing. So much love was put into it and it shows. It's one of my favorite manga and it definetely earned its popularity. I love it 🥺
i dont know if you know this but every episode has a different ending song made specially for the show, so make sure to listen to the endings every episode. great reaction as always, keep it up :)

I loved the intro song. The slap bass in the beginning is great, the keyboard in the back and I love his voice. The ending is good sure you can never go wrong with some poprock but the op song I liked more.

I personally love the intro and this episode's outro for different reasons. The outro is a solid rock jam with great energy and structure, and a killer riff. The intro has a kind of punk and 'apathetic joyride' feeling to me (like nonchalantly hanging onto a speeding roller-coaster with one arm and watching the police crowd around). It seems to embody the sort of dreary and cynical world of the show and a chaotic rebellion from people who have nothing to lose. That's just what I feel when I hear it though. I think the intricate electronic sounds, rapid drum-and-bass rhythm, and glitchy guitar segments are all very well integrated, but the bass is on another level and really drives the other elements.
18:14 writer tatsuki fujimoto is an absolute legend. The man has a completely different head. This show will be even darker than dark. I also recommend reading his one-shot, Goodbye Eri.

in the official translation of the manga when talking abt his dream denji specifically says he wants to hug a girl, which also comes full circle at the end of the episode. also i think this first meeting of denji and makima (the red head girl) will pay off way more later on. csm is that type of story you realize a lot of things revisiting it!
One thing that immediately made me love Denji when I read the manga was the simplicity of his goal. A lot of shonen protagonist have massive goal, that can be inspirational, but far from relatable. While Denji, my man want to eat a good breakfast, something simple we can all relate to.
I prefer the ending over the opening also because I'm a fan of Vaundy (the dude who did the ending). And also idk if you already know this but every episode will have a different ending, so 12 different endings by different artists or bands.
MAPA animation is no joke, finale season of AOT is actually under their production too perhaps you see the difference from previous seasons. If you like Chainsaw Man I think you'd like Jujutsu Kaisen and it's also produced by MAPA studio
This show is gonna be so good. The visual style is on a level that only a select few studios have been able to achieve. (Those being Ufotable and A1, respectfully) And this episode followed the mango extremely well, all things considered, and I'm so excited to see what else Mappa has in the works. The intro song is awesome but it's okay to be wrong Omario, we all love you still Edit: my thoughts on the ending song is that it's really good and fun but also it has a very straight forward structure, you could say even a bit boring of a song (compared to the op, I wouldn't say it's boring on its own) opposed to the op which starts very funky and has a very unique style that reflects perfectly the chaotic shonen side of Chainsaw Man
