Hi Coolsoap. I was the Opal technician I did the installation and maintenance on majority of those buses for state transport. Some were difficult to work on especially the old type. I worked on most depots at Sydney, Wollongong, Central Coast and Newcastle. Thornton was great to work there they never gave us a hard time. Thumbs up and subs
I did see the Thornton fueller while I was there. There weren’t any buses leaving or entering at that time, so he was just standing around doing nothing. Must be a bit boring having to fuel ghost buses in the off-peak 😂. Thanks Steven!
Happy new year mate! Banger of a video yet again, depot tours (particularly well narrated ones) are hard to come by and you cut the mustard! Here's to another great year of buses, ferries and trains! I know it's a long shot but have you explored the possibilities of filming or photographing aviation by chance?
Happy new year Mr NRTV! I always wonder what the inside of each depot looks like, so I like to have the answer just in case anyone ever wonders the same thing! If you ever get to go inside of a depot and take photos and videos, ALWAYS ask to put them online before doing so, otherwise you’ll get a bad rep with staff and other enthusiasts. I’m glad that you enjoyed this video though, and I actually have another bus depot tour in store for you all 👀. I sometimes take photos of planes that go overhead using my zoom lens, but I wouldn’t expect myself to make any videos on planes. Thanks for watching NRTV, I’m very glad to hear that you enjoyed my video once again!! Happy new year! 🥳
The Csepels are terrible buses, it was a very strange choice of chassis for Baxters, and I don’t know a single driver who enjoys being behind the wheel of a Csepel. The MAN 12.220 CB30s aren’t very nice to drive either from what I know, but I like them a lot actually.
@ for me I don’t really like the cb 50’s, but most of the cb 50’s have amazing engines, I don’t know what engine they have but that has to be on more buses, it’s powerful as, and I don’t think the cb 30’s would be nice to drive either, but they would be nice to ride
Once again the body has nothing to do with the how the bus sounds, the chassis is what makes the noise. If you had a Volgren Optimus body on a Volvo B10BLE chassis it’d sound identical to the B10BLE Oranas. But these Csepels have Cummins engines of some sort
@ I never meant the body has something to do with the bus sounds, what I mean is that most of the cb 50’s engines sound amazing, and yes the chassis does make the noise.
Would you happen to know why so many people seem to dislike Csepels? I've never been on one but I watched a video of a Csepel 844.19 once and it sounded quite nice. I believe 1094 used to be based at Northmead Depot in Sydney Metropolitan Region 4 and Northmead used to have so many of these B10BLEs. They were wonderful vehicles to catch though they didn't handle motorway runs very well.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ve been trying to figure it out for a while and it’s completely baffled me lol. Thanks again, that’ll come in handy in the future :)

My nephew is the fueler at Thornton. Thanks so much for this vid. Loved it, as usual. 😊

2:49 this bus got new seats
Pretty sure it was delivered with that seat pattern. Not sure why that was the choice, very strange…
