I upsized mine to 31" x 21" and followed the same pattern but increased the boxed corners to 2" x 2". Worked perfectly. Everyone got a bag for Christmas.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch at the *preluxs* to compare materials etc. The real brooch is nearly 4 times the price and is made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass.

Added some pockets inside and made 3 more and offered them to my family, they love it ! Gave the short one to my 10-years-old niece, who carries it everywhere, happy to show me how much she loves it 💝
When I come back from vacation, I will make the short one with longer straps, because as it is, I can't wear it on my shoulder

You can make this bag larger or smaller. We used to make this a lot bigger and use a large button to make the strap adjustable. So cute definitely my favorite diy bag. Light wash denim with a flowered cotton lining, the possibilities for this bag are endless.

I made the small bag but I think I may be a little large for this bag. I'm taking it apart to lengthen the handle. Hopefully that will work or I'll give it to my granddaughter. I'll make it again just make the handle longer. It's a nice pattern and I love this smaller size bag.
