  • Cloudy and Turbulent takeoff from Suvarnabhumi Int'l Airport aboard SQ977, BKK-SIN, my flight on 15 November 2017 SIA's well-known workhorse Airbus A330-300 registered as 9V-SSD. A BRAND NEW FLIGHT REVIEW for this flight is coming soon! My flight reviews/reports are is up on my channel, so make sure to check them out! Thanks for watching! :D Please Like, Comment and Subscribe! Also stay tuned for my future flight review/report, especially with Qatar Airways!
    NOTE: Turbulence persues after climb from Suvarnabhumi, where the nose angle decreased repeatedly. At 4:33, look at the front of the wing, as the aircraft reduces climb drastically, resulting in the feeling of freefall. The captain used FLEX thrust(I asked), and had kept the cabin crew seated for 15more minutes until we had cleared all cumulonimbus clouds and minimal turbulence was encountered. Footage on that would be in my upcoming review of SQ977. Stay tuned :)

    I’ve been to many countries but every time I get into the plane it’s always like my first time .Panic mode 😂😂😂 my heart is beating so fast it’s like the plane will crash anytime. If I can only travel walking,I would🏃🚶🏻🏃🏽‍♂️🚶🏼‍♀️

      Same for me 😂 I was on a plane that caught fire at night , an hour out of Singapore ! A Big Bang then the plane lit up orange , you could see flames the whole length of the plane coming out of the engine . 747 jumbo , they shut the engine down , circled for 30 minutes to dump the fuel then flew back to Singapore. I had a cigarette when we landed and I don’t smoke 😂

    The lovely thing about SIA is that pilots really took their hearts when flying. Under most circumstances in most other airlines, they will do it as a daily job. In SIA, being a passenger for many years, somehow they will slow the plane down to smoothen out the bumps. It's not cost effective to management for most people, but to passengers, I appreciated it greatly.

    • @50654570
      @50654570 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What I would also say is that sometimes you may see planes hit Clear Air Turbulence and fall like hell, and so on. One of the factors is, the pilots had taken FULL advantage to catch every bit of tail winds in order to save fuel / time........or just an act of nature......

  • @paulharrison7242

    The pilots will use weather radar (the aerial is in the nose of the aircraft) to see and avoid the 'really' turbulent thunderstorm cells. Air Traffic Control will, in turn, approve deviations left or right of track to avoid those cells. Normal track deviation is 5 nautical miles left or right of the planned track.

    Can be really bumpy in that's area, similar to my flight from Singapore to Bali. The CB clouds go high[due intercontinental convergence zone], we were at 42000ft on a a330-200 and still getting bounced around.

  • @aljack1979

    Absolutely fine. Due to the intercontinental convergence zone in that area you have colliding winds that can make it turbulent, plus Cumulus Nimbus clouds that can go as high as 40000ft plus. Which you don't want to be flying in. These pilots are well versed on flying in this area.

    Ok...? Where's the massive turbulence? Seems like a normal take-off to me. Going through clouds always causes some bumps - just a law of physics.
    But I didn't see anything shocking here...

    • @Fred-zt5ky
      @Fred-zt5ky 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why were you expecting anything shocking? Nobody mentioned “massive turbulence” in the title either. And yea, flying through clouds will obviously cause a few bumps, just like if you drop something it will fall. Physics are not that complicated...
