  • In contravention of the prime-directive, I'm taking a-part the milwaukee hacksawzall. During the Makita tear-down I noticed the innards rattling around and wanted to inspect the old girl.
    Thanks for helping me make these VJOs! Early access here

    I prefer the battery indicator on the battery. when you have a whole pile of batteries it's nice to be able to find out if it's charged before you put it in the tool.

The German shepherd says: "i believe in discipline training and loyalty to my master." "Good," says God. "Then sit down on my right side. Doberman, what do you believe in?" The Doberman answers: "I believe in love, care and protection of my master." "you may sit to my left," says God. Then he looks at the cat and asks: "And what do you believe in?" Viewer: doesn't matter to you. You can click off an unlisted video if you want, but it doesn't affect you to watch. This video isn't unlisted anymore, so don't worry.
      Poster of videos: Its not, like, kill your channel bad. Lets get that out of the way. What "unlisted" means is the video can only be found by people with a direct link and subscribers aren't notified if it is uploaded.. It won't show up in any searches unless you post a link somewhere else on the internet. However, having it in the playlist means there is a direct link in the playlist, so having the playlist gets people to the video. Its a bug on YT basically.

    When I did water mitigation my boss bought like 3 of these and expected us to not only cut out drywall which to be fair this did a good job of but also sections of floors and 2x4's. The final straw was when I decided a wood axe was faster for floor removal due to the batteries constantly dying and the blades shitting out on us. So I told her we were buying a damn sawzall because it looks real unprofessional when you have to ask the client for an axe to take out a subfloor, and yes we tried a hammer and a catsclaw however they had 3 inches of floors on top of each other, hence the axe.

    I just opened mine up last week, It was seized after a rusty overhead plumbing job, no way to change the angle of the dangle. I was able to free it up and she's back in action. It's nice because it doesn't kick like a mule, so you can risk attempting more delicate cuts. 62% of the time it works every time. It's been about 3 years for mine. Definitely would buy another.

    Oh frabjous day - another Ave clip! Funny - I resented memory work in grade eight so regurgitated Jaberwoky to satisfy the ridiculous requirement. That was freaking 50 years ago and I've never forgotten a line so I guess memory work was a good idea after all.
    I enjoy your channel so thanks for that!

    No, the battery charger indicator is more useful on the batteries.

    AvE, I would love to see your breakdown and analysis of the sawstop switch and break. It uses a serial cable to manage communications between the break and power switch. You are about the only person I know that has the skill to dissect and properly analyze this combo of mechanical gizmos and electronic parts.

    Could that wax at 4:30 be a over heated indicator for repair? If that switch shorted and heated up the wax would deform or melt off. Just my guess.

    • @peglor

      I was thinking it might be to stop the switch housing rattling, but it's not too clear whether it contacts anything in the housing when it's assembled.

    • @burnerjack01
      @burnerjack01 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Switches and other contacts heat up from poor connection not from shorting. Shorting would make the device unable to be turned off. Ohm's Law. Just thought I'd toss that out there.
