Bought it yesterday. For less than 100 USD. It is much faster than my previous REALME C21 and it had almost double the Antutu score. The 4GB RAM is the reason. It not only helps multitasking but prevent caching to storage when ram is full which is with these cheap phones alway eMMC not UFS and usually terribly slow.

*What I REALLY want to know is: What's up with the different names? Is it a "Blackview"* *phone, an "Oscal" phone, or is it some merger between two phone manufacturers??!*
WHAT IS THE FRICKING BRAND??? Why do the names seem to be interchangeable online?
    It's driving me bonkers!!😱😱😱

hi. I agree, its confusing. 'Oscal' is a sub-brand of Blackview (so the Oscal C60 is both a Blackview phone and an Oscal phone).
Blackview uses this Oscal 'sub-brand' to target different markets and audience, as far as i know. First time when the Blackwiev rep contacted me asking to assess the oscal phone, they said, they want to target younger audience (students, teenagers, etc) releasing budget range phone under 'oscal' brand.

Thanks! (I even went as far as dropping Blackview a message via their US website's internal mail server, yesterday..), subsequently puzzling me even further bc, *nowhere* on their website or listed phone models does Oscal get a mention.
It does list its (semi-) twins, "Blackview A55" and "Bl.v. A55 Pro", of which the latter two, the "Pro" seems to have the most visible commonalities (ie, the shell's colour range, and the "Only The Brave" text-which I *LOVE* btw, due to my life-long crush on Diesel Jeans [and especially the OTB Mohawk/Punk-head logo]. > Yep, I know, humongously shallow of me, and even more discardable, LOL!😆), except that the "Pro" has "Oscal" replaced by "Blackview":
_Why on earth would I be confused by the whole thing, right?!_ 🙄[sigh..]
Until a week ago I *never* heard about "Oscal" before (nor any of the other 'budget brands' like "Ulephone", or "Oukitel", etc), aside from one lonely "Sagem", I've always had Nokias and Samsungs. Anyways, yesterday they delivered my C60 🥳 *_Woohoo!_* (bought @ Amazon-Italy for 75 Euro).
Now I have to install everything and copy my old Samsung's content to the Oscal: *Any videos or websites you could point me at for tutorials?*
I never done this with a smartphone; my current Samsung was my late dad's, which is a Samsung (brace yourself! Ready?) Samsung *S4,* which I only started using when my Diva flip-phone(!) was totally and utterly spent!
I guess this illustrates my profound smartphone aversion to a T (Ho-Hum)...
Seeing as I'm on my laptop from the moment I wake up, until I go to sleep, am *not* on social media (unless this includes YT too), and despise "apps" etc, I failed to see why I should be using one/be online when I'm around and about (people and their narcissistic phone fixation truly get on my last nerve!), and use it only for music.
I guess I now have my work cut out for me (ugh..), so any possible advice for a step-by-step tutorial to move from Samsung to Oscal (or even just how to install the Oscal from scratch) would be *greatly* appreciated!! 🥺
PS: Is the fact that the battery can't be manually replaced by users themselves going to be a problem? Or can it be worked around, same as with Apples (albeit at your own risk)??

@@Faladaena I agree, all that Oscal-Blackview confusion is pretty understandable.
(Even Kospet, one of the most popular rugged smartwatch manufacturers, has a sub-brand called Ticwris, which sells the same Kospet watches under the TICWRIS brand in the UK....crazy)...
Anyway, 75 euros is a great price for the Oscal C60. As for transferring content from your old phone, you'll have this option during the initial setup. Both phones will need to be connected via USB cable once the "Copy content from your old phone" option appears.
You may also be able to do this via Bluetooth using the Nearby Share feature. However, I recommend checking out Google's support article for more detailed instructions: support.google.com/android/answer/6193424?hl=en-GB
If any issues or problems, let me know, we figure something out.
btw. I totally understand your sentiment - I'm not a huge fan of social media either and I find that I'm much happier when I'm not constantly checking my phone (to reply on the comment to my videos on TH-cam, thats all). I dropped Facebook and instagram as these are 'no value' to me...
