Congrats on the new bulkhead. Always a challenge getting a good fit in those situations and you "nailed" it! So glad to see that most of the mould is now gone. Everything looks, cleaner, brighter and ultimately healthier to live in. You won't regret the time spent on getting the basics sound.

@@SailingSeabird I enjoy how you both work together and laugh a lot. I know it must be tiring to work every day on the boat. I am about to start a renovation on a small house I just bought here. My house is on 3 stories and I really don't want all the stairs. I will document the progress on my house. I hope I keep my sense of humour as you two do. BTW I love dumpster diving. Fantastic finds quite often.

Many "new" youtubers don't seem to get it. These videos are about the work of course but to many viewers it is about two likable people. Well perhaps one of you is more likable than the other but.. LOL

When you are using any kind of filler in your epoxy and cutting fiberglass you should definitely be wearing a particle mask to protect your lungs . Your boat's refit is coming nicely and thanks for sharing these moments with us !

It's starting to look like a boat, and the rebuilding will strengthen the hull. This will allow your boat to be safe and last many years, giving you wonderful memories. I love it.
We honestly worry whether we are doing a good job or not.

You are definitely doing a good, thorough job. My only worry is that you don't wear your chemical/particulate masks often enough, and that is probably so you can keep up the commentary. Read the labels before risking your health (some epoxies and paints are more dangerous than others, but most aren't good). Perhaps you could film then add a voice over during editing when it is risky.

A little different episode this week, instead of a bunch of small projects you guys tackled a major accomplishment in repairing the wall. I almost forgot what the under floor looked like, but your flashbacks reminded me and can see the progress. Keep on grinding, soon we will be Sailing Seabird!!!

Hello again Stu and Marina. I think I understand a little about why you say your boat was rotten, but really it only had a little wood inside that got wet and delaminated. And then came apart but you are repairing all those areas really good. I think all this woodwork you are doing looks fantastic and is going to be very strong. Every week you are getting closer to having a new floor and cabinets and galley & I am sure it is going to look great. It's a real pleasure to watch you two work together helping each other finish each project. So just keep taking your time and thinking ahead about what's next and enjoy the restoration.
Don't even think about how long it might take. Just take as long as you want. Ok, can't wait for next week. ciao, geo

I must say, your Seabird is going back to sea all glammed up. Your precise workmanship is so wonderful to see. I know she will be very seaworthy once you're back out where you belong. I binge watched most of your episodes while it rained like crazy 2 weeks ago. Enjoyed every minute of all the episodes. Keep on striving for the day you re launch her. Love to you both.

Guys... You're compromising the bond with the plywood.
You need to wet-out the plywood before putting your first layer on it, otherwise the wood will draw resin out of the cloth and the layup will not be optimised.
Put a surface coat of resin on the wood and allow that to tack off before putting your first layers of wetted cloth on.
Oh...
Not much we can do now.

Amazing job, I hope it cured well despite the weather. That method of making the templates from small pieces of wood is so simple but works like a charm. Won't be long till you've got the fridge and freezer in place!

Great job with the wall you should be proud of the work you've done. You seem to work very well together, and that always makes a big difference, working in such close proximity is fraught with danger, and we all have our niggly argumentative days, however if you can get over those and still be friends afterwards, you be friends for life. Restoration of anything will always be tense, you both make a great team. Thank you for sharing, see you both next week. xx ( " lovely English weather in France") lol.
