Some guy tried to hassle my elderly mother into selling my expensive kayaks in her shed (which was off limits and not near the stuff for sale at a yard sale...maybe 20ft away) he was relentless. I wish mum hadnt left the shed door slightly open. He was getting more and more demanding, thankfully, I was still living with her and heard the commotion. So I get my dog and put him on a lead... (he is trained to put up the hackles and bare his teeth if you hold the lead a certain way...) I stick my head out the door and say "sorry, they aren't for sale". He kept pushing, saying it was a yard sale and I "HAVE TO" sell them and he offers $75 for the two. After mum refused him again, he kept pushing... wouldn't you know, the sight of a teeth-baring 50kg great dane made him back down. That night, the great dane (who sleeps in my bed under the covers with me) started rumbling and letting out small "oof" woofs (those cute, little 'unsure' ones they let out before going absolutely ballistic that dog owners know all about) whilst staring at the window. I get up and walk to the back door with dog in tow, and say "hello?" Silence. "I'm letting my dog out". I hear "sh*!!!!" And footsteps of someone running into the distance from the shed. I open the door and out runs my dog, snarling and growling like a hell hound. I leave the back door open and go back to bed. About 15 minutes later, the bed sinks under my dog as he clumsily climbs back under my covers. We left the back door open just in case the guy came back. Dogs are great.

I'm laughing so hard at the paint story. I used to work in the paint department and my coworker did the math on how many gallons we would need to cover just one brand in each paint in each sheen and we would need the store to be 3 times larger just for paint. It was something like 18 000 gallons. Again, for one brand's set of colors.
Well, if we imply he's driving 60mph for the duration of the trip then that's 1mile per 1minute, making it 70miles in 70minutes. So technically, he's not wrong, but he'd have to be on a highway the entire time and going at exactly 60mph.
It'll take some time to at least accelerate to 60mph to get on the highway. It's not like he lives on the highway in a moving house. (House on wheels stuff)

I work at a well known grocery store, and my managers haven’t answered any of my paging for more change in my drawer, and so I was out of pennies and told the people, old couple, I was out of pennies and so I couldn’t give them their last two TWO cents, (and bc the last five ppl in front of them were fine w not getting pennies they were owed back) I asked if that was alright, they got mad at me “of course I want my last two pennies! It’s MY MONEY! Get me your manager!” Me, thinking: I’ve been trying ma’am Me: okay, (turns to the person who just got there, who’s waiting to take the register so I can go on break) tell the manager I need pennies please. Took ten minutes but I was able to give the two pennies to the elder couple and then they complained about how they were in a hurry and this made them late. Like it’s two damn pennies, you could have just taken the rest of the change I owed you (~15.80$) and left, you were the one that wanted two freaking pennies.

The "I'm going to Home Depot" line reminded me of something that happened today. I work at The Home Depot, my coworker was going to cut a piece of plywood for a customer only to find out the saw was out of service. The customer was a little annoyed but didn't really say anything. About 5 minutes later they came up out of nowhere while we were helping someone else just to say "we're going to Lowe's" my coworker just responded with a cool "okay" as we didn't care.

Anyway i posted one of my art pieces of my main character and put a shirt description of her story. She got 230 likes!! Good right? Not for long. CB 1: this dude wanted to put his horribly writen male character into the story to be the main characters boyfriend. No ( this story is in the action genre not love ) He kept asking for over TWO HOURS. Im a nice person so i just kept politely telling him no theres no need for new characters. He wouldnt stop so i blocked him. And anyway my main character would probably have a gf. 2. He wasn't as bad. But it was a bit insulting. He was writing a internet series and wanted me to draw all of his characters so he could have art of them. I told him he would have to commission me (not even for real money just Amino coins) and he said no that it was a passion project and that i would get credit. I said no and he was nice enough to get it. I wished him luck on his quest to find a free artist 3. TAKES THE FREAKING CAKE. Like i said i write and illustrate comics. This dude wanted me to "help him" with a comic "book" i asked what he meant and he asked me to write and design the characters. When i asked what he would be doing, he ignored me. I told him it would be pretty expensive to make an ENTIRE SERIES. He said that i could put my name on it if i did it for free. WTF? I was going to be credited even if you paid me. He said i was mean. Then he asked again for me to do it. I thought all these things were blown out of purpotion but i guess not. Also if you are curious about my comic, it will make its debut to webtoon late next month Thanks for reading 😘

I work at a well known grocery store, and my managers haven’t answered any of my paging for more change in my drawer, and so I was out of pennies and told the people, old couple, I was out of pennies and so I couldn’t give them their last two TWO cents, (and bc the last five ppl in front of them were fine w not getting pennies they were owed back) I asked if that was alright, they got mad at me “of course I want my last two pennies! It’s MY MONEY! Get me your manager!”
Me, thinking: I’ve been trying ma’am
Me: okay, (turns to the person who just got there, who’s waiting to take the register so I can go on break) tell the manager I need pennies please.
Took ten minutes but I was able to give the two pennies to the elder couple and then they complained about how they were in a hurry and this made them late. Like it’s two damn pennies, you could have just taken the rest of the change I owed you (~15.80$) and left, you were the one that wanted two freaking pennies.

The "I'm going to Home Depot" line reminded me of something that happened today. I work at The Home Depot, my coworker was going to cut a piece of plywood for a customer only to find out the saw was out of service. The customer was a little annoyed but didn't really say anything. About 5 minutes later they came up out of nowhere while we were helping someone else just to say "we're going to Lowe's" my coworker just responded with a cool "okay" as we didn't care.

I have NEVER had to deal with choosing beggers... until last week
THREE OF THEM.
I am an artist (not the best, but who is?) And i am working on an online comic. Im not sure how many of you are familiar with Amino Apps, but its a social media platform. Anyway i posted one of my art pieces of my main character and put a shirt description of her story. She got 230 likes!! Good right? Not for long.
CB 1: this dude wanted to put his horribly writen male character into the story to be the main characters boyfriend. No ( this story is in the action genre not love ) He kept asking for over TWO HOURS. Im a nice person so i just kept politely telling him no theres no need for new characters. He wouldnt stop so i blocked him. And anyway my main character would probably have a gf.
2. He wasn't as bad. But it was a bit insulting. He was writing a internet series and wanted me to draw all of his characters so he could have art of them. I told him he would have to commission me (not even for real money just Amino coins) and he said no that it was a passion project and that i would get credit. I said no and he was nice enough to get it. I wished him luck on his quest to find a free artist
3. TAKES THE FREAKING CAKE. Like i said i write and illustrate comics. This dude wanted me to "help him" with a comic "book" i asked what he meant and he asked me to write and design the characters. When i asked what he would be doing, he ignored me. I told him it would be pretty expensive to make an ENTIRE SERIES. He said that i could put my name on it if i did it for free. WTF? I was going to be credited even if you paid me. He said i was mean. Then he asked again for me to do it.
I thought all these things were blown out of purpotion but i guess not.
Also if you are curious about my comic, it will make its debut to webtoon late next month
