Yup. A highly skilled certified Toyota Tech who is ethical, thorough, and knows what he’s doing. I’d drive 2.5 hours for that kind of service. Thanks to the CarCare Nut I have done maintenance on my 2017 Highlander for several projects. Brakes are new, coolant is a couple years old, transmission, transfer case and rear differential are running fresh fluids, MAF sensor and throttle body are cleaned and the spark plugs are next up.
Hello AMD, you seem to make certain diy jobs look easy. I know other big jobs need to be handled by a certified masterToyota technician but showing us some of the jobs we can tackle by ourselves by reviewing your TH-cam videos is brilliant. Anyway thanks Armando! Arriba!
Thank you Armando for making me realize how lucky I am to own my 2012 Corolla with 150K. Simple car to own, maintain, and drive. Still has a dipstick for the transmission so fluid changes are easy. No undercarriage plastic piece to remove before doing any oil or coolant changes. Being paid off for years is also a great plus.
I traded my 2018 Camry SE in February for a new Tacoma. I love my truck as i just feel its a solid vehicle. My 2018 Camry was an awesome car and that engine despite how much technology is built into it was absolutely flawless in performance during my time of ownership. I love Toyota and AMD thanks for the awesome videos. I only wish all technicians were as meticulous and professional as you.
Thank you Armando, it was a good choice choosing a best quality and trustworthy technician. I would do the same except I live in Australia 🇦🇺. It is a pleasure to watch a car nut technician at work and explaining steps he is taking along the job. 10++++👍👍👍👍👍 From Brisbane, Australia.
Thanks Armando. Will be changing coolant in a 2019 Camry before my daughter makes a 500 mile trip to her university. Update after finishing. Be aware that it will take several minutes ( more than 10) to bleed the cooling system. Also, I found a clear overfill funnel and found that was much easier for watching the level in the funnel.
Hey Ahmed, I drove 8 hours from Kansas city to your shop. It was a great vist thank you very much. I did replace the front struts as you suggested and it's beautiful driving now.
Thank you Armando and Ahmed. I'll be taking my 2014 Toyota Highlander for a coolant and transmission fluid exchange, luckily I'm only 40 minutes from your shop.
TY Armando!! I’ve been watching for about 3 years now and I’ve always wanted a Toyota and we just now got our new 2024 Rav 4. I mentioned to wife how I would love to schedule a trans replacement when we need it and do a road trip from Michigan. I will probably do that because I know this guy is a gift to all of us!! T Y both!!!!!
Thank you Amando for driving this long distance in order for AMD to provide this video for a coolant change in your 2018 Camry. This video was heaven sent. I have a 2019 toyota camry with the same engine. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. Another great video AMD. Joe Joe
Thanks for the tips…I’ve had that cool filler for years but putting a little hose on the drain tube is a new tip!! When I just did my Tundra, I was afraid to mess with the block drains so just did the radiator and will do it, again, before fall. (A gallon and a half came out and it looked very clean.)
TY AMD a great informative video, and TY Armando for allowing us to see your lovely Toyota being treated by our favourite Master Tech AMD. Keep Safe Keep Strong Mate 🦘🦘🦘🚗🚗🚗
I wanted to finally write to say thank you for all the videos you have shared. With your knowledge I have confidently taken care of my 2018 camry. Its approaching 90k miles and I'm a proud owner (possibly because my Toyota was build late 2018 - no trans issues). Keep up the good work. Best of luck with your new place.
I’ve been waiting for this video, its very informative and it helps a lot, thank you, you are the best mechanic on here. Thank you Armando for bringing the car in so we can learn a thing or two.
Another great video Ahmed. Props from South Carolina to you Armando. I’m big on DIY when it comes to taking care of my cars. Videos like this will help keep my 2019 Hybrid Camry in tip top shape
Thank you can and Armando. I drove my 2013 camry 800 mile trip. On the way I check the oil. It was 1/4 qt short. But, I noticed the coolant was too low, lower than minimum. Actually I didn't see the coolant in the expansion reservoir. The car wasn't leaking any fluid. I bought a green coolant. After I poured the coolant, a pink fluid appeared. Then, after i checked the coolant again after 400 miles, the fluid was down to the minimum mark. I refilled it to the max mark. It stayed at that mark after I drove back 800 miles. Now I guess I have to replace it since I mixed the green with the pink. Thank again I enjoy your channel.
Ahmed, I think you could step up production by having a magnetic mounted camera directly overhead. You know the parts and their exact look and location... Not everybody else does. Congratulations on the shop. Hope your departure from the dealership was cool and supportive. Yes. Thank you Armando!
I agree with Sean Pop. More close-ups would be helpful, and also seeing things put back correctly. Just as an example of things that I know are done incorrectly all the time, show how to properly tighten oil filters, drain plugs or spark plugs. Too many guys wrench those things down excessively and create problems for themselves and others. In other words, don't hesitate to show us the nitty-gritty details. I think most of us are genuinely interested!
Ahmed, Can you please make a video on how to change the coolant on a 2018 Seinna with the 2GR FKS engine. I've been waiting for to make that video, Thank You!
I wish I live near you to service all my Toyota!! My dealership doesn’t have that great of techs to catch my problems before warranty ends! Out of the 6 Toyota vehicles I’ve owned, 2 of the vehicles that I took to the same advisor was kept nicely up to date as you were to work on vehicles! The 2 wasn’t able to catch before warranty ended and 2 was problem free so far!

one HUGE problem i have heard from mechanics is the draincock breakoff when attempting to open OR leaking after opening then closing. they recommend removing the lower hose clamp and draining that way. the draincocks are typically plastic and rarely if ever operated for many years. the plastic becomes brittle from heat cycling and the o-ring gets stuck which results that it is damaged when the valve is opened.
Well the male end of the radiator where the lower hose connects to is also plastic and prone to cracking or leaking when you try to remove a stuck hose from it. So either way, you're potentially screwed. Lol
@@robertomulero514 a tip to removing a coolant hose is to relocate the hose clamp to the very end of the hose, even to the point where only half the clamp width is on the hose, then operate the vehicle until it reaches operating temperature. the increased pressure will cause the hose end to balloon out which unsticks the hose end from the connector. otherwise as you mentioned, the twisting of the hose might very well damage the connector. even if one is trying to replace the hose and uses a knife and pliers to pull it off, the connector can also be damaged.

Usually they only break when they haven’t been opened for a very long time like 10 years or more or if the car overheated before
Yup, when I 'drained & refilled' the coolant, I was gentle with the plastic. I smeared some Molykote 111 on the o-ring. Good to go. Zero leaks.
