@@Rosiethecutecarp That’s not necessarily true. If they are young and don’t have a herd of llamas. Then it’s risky. You want to do everything to prevent ABS. However, this woman has 55 llamas. The llams are not lacking a herd experience. Taking them inside for an hour or two then back out to the herd won’t hurt anything.
@@Rosiethecutecarp Um what? Lmao. “Uncool” I have seven llamas. They are all pets. They aren’t “too large” to be pets. Taking a llama inside for a bit literally does no harm IF they are older llamas who have a herd.
There’s a farm a couple miles from my house In Marlborough Massachusetts that has a couple of llamas roaming around. Pretty nice creatures although I’m sure it’s cause they’ve been handled by humans since birth
Pets work in so many wonderful ways for people. While stories like these aren't life or death, they do show trends of the economy, like that the pet industry is enormous. As a former editor of my high school newspaper, I can assure you that even though the story didn't interest you, subject is paramount to me, as well, and this was interesting. But I have to tell ya, your writing is pretty cool. Love some of your adjectives and descriptors. Maybe you work on some journalistic endeavor.

Maybe it doesn't take precedence over all the other worldly events, calamities, fights, wars, laws, rules and so on, but several people who farm for a living shop at the local feed store where I buy my horse feed. There's a stack of 50 pound bags of llama feed there. In fact, in farming communities, which are all over the country, animals are big business. Every Thursday night in a nearby county, there's an animal auction. Goats are becoming popular again. Two llamas at last week's auction..
Llamas and alpacas are awesome. It's nice that people hold them as pets, since they'd probably go extinct if they didn't. Neither llamas or alpacas have lived in the wild for a very long time.
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO TELL ME, When I've lived in Peru for years, I still go back once in a while, and I've seen this for myself, there are free wild llamas out there, and WIKI is not all reliable,,, there are so many erroneous content found throughout,,, in fact, I can go to a wiki document and input something false and it'll stay there until someone corrects it, so end of discussion
If I even own one I would cut his Head off and legs and also see what's eatable in the body I'll first remove the hair by burning the hair and after I would put the llamas head in a super hot boiling water and put some salt has well has some beer in and carrots and onions and tomatoes in the water has well and I would let the llamas head set to cook for about 1 hour in medium temperature and when its cooked I would eat the eyes first so it can gave me more protein and I'll enjoy the body tasty soup I'll enjoy.

You're kidding right? There's an abundance of of llamas and alpacas in Peru, their place of origin
KOSMOS390 Yes, all owned by people. None of those are wild.
No, a lot of them ROAM FREE, if they're lucky not to be captured and owned
KOSMOS390 Read the section called "Classification": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llama End of discussion? Thank you.

I don't think this is legal in a house or apartment.
"Exotic Pet" yo I think if I can just go pick one up at the fair for 450$ doesn't make it that exotic I have 40 3 live inside
Las llamas son animales sudamericanos, llevarlas al Norte de America sólo alterará el ecosistema ecosistema.
