I always found Paulina to be the most beautiful of the 1980’s/early 90’s supermodels. Perfect face, perfect body, a real personality and very smart and witty to boot. I remember how much in love she was with Ric Ocasek at the time and was saddened to hear how he treated her in the end after 28 years of marriage. Lesson of the story: Girls, always have your own money and bank account to look after yourself in case you ever need to leave a situation.
This is so silly , to state something like this . She was a highest paid model in the 80ties, landing a 6 MIL contract with estee lauder. And she was 25y.. Of course she had plenty of other contracts and she was a very very veryyyy rich woman . Her parents immigrated to Sweden first, from Czechoslovakia, when she was 6, I think, leaving her behind, because the escape from the communist camp with heavily patrolled and barb wired border was dangerous, and she then joined them with her grandmother few years later when she was about 10, still in Sweden, from where they continued to America later on. At least I think that's how she got into the free world when she was little. Her escape with her nana was also very dramatic, because the communist were very obstructive and didn't want the family to reunite in Sweden, they wanted to use 6 y.o. Totally agree. Love the way she is, thinks and acts. Looking stunning is sort of the icing on the cake. ;-)
Shes Czech she has a tough demeanor all Eastern European woman do. There are many woman more beautiful than her she just was in the right place at the right time.
Most of the Supermodels at the time were extremely intelligent, modelling IS a business after all and it requires wits besides looks to navigate it.
Her responses about the unimportance of looking after yourself, eating properly and having enough sleep were hardly intelligent. Rather stupid and irresponsible. That's the direct way to early health problems and a short life.

This is the whole mystery ... she fell for this guy , obviously not for his money nor looks and she stayed with him for so many years.. the mystery is : what did she find in him :))) but she seems someone not superficial at all so she found something in him....
@@holxy yeah but her money got mixed up with her crazy husband and she was ripped off legally. And the recourse became strange and difficult. And then he died and it only became more insane. Ocasek was vile.

If you see interviews of her now, you can tell the hard knocks of life have either humbled her a bit or made her more comfortable showing her vulnerabilities. In today's interviews, she's still honest but she seems much more relaxed, not pretending to be tough.

Seeing this interview after a more recent one from about a month ago.. my heart breaks for her and what she’s been through .. what she was going through at this time. “I was always seen, but never heard”.. she’s always been witty and smart. It’s shameful that she’s been so discounted by the people she looked to be the closest with. She has managed to embrace aging gracefully, something so many people that are idolized now aren’t able to do.. and yet she’s treated as invisible. I see you Paulina, and I hear you. ❤️
She hit the wall and has been forced to learn some humility .. which is something that young, attractive women never possess.

No, she’s whinging about being invisible after making a career based on her looks & clearly still needs validation with constant uploads of her wearing bikini’s, then trashes her husband after he dies. My respect & 30 years of being a fan are now gone.

I was stunned to see how well versed in English she is. It wasnt until then, that I realized that she left Czechoslovakia at 10. She has a very distinct, rather soviet-like accent, but her fluency is superb.
