Her parents immigrated to Sweden first, from Czechoslovakia, when she was 6, I think, leaving her behind, because the escape from the communist camp with heavily patrolled and barb wired border was dangerous, and she then joined them with her grandmother few years later when she was about 10, still in Sweden, from where they continued to America later on. At least I think that's how she got into the free world when she was little. Her escape with her nana was also very dramatic, because the communist were very obstructive and didn't want the family to reunite in Sweden, they wanted to use 6 y.o. Paulina as a collateral and a extortion tool for her parents to return to the commie Eastern Europe! God, those were really horrendously hard times for the people there! Disgusting regime! She's great fun and I agree with Zhiivago's comment totally. She was head and shoulders above so many people in the industry back in the 1980s and into the 1990s in terms of character, sense of humour, savvy and a quirky intelligence. She was overlooked as a personality due to the era and industry she worked in but today, holy smokes, she'd be a household name that would put the airheaded Kardashians to shame. The Kardashians appear to have shared custody of one personality. Paulina has personality in abundance. I was fascinated and magnetised by her back then, and I still am today-- I'd love to see more from her delivered in HER own way as a leader not a follower. In today's digital landscape, there's too much anodyne content and generic obnoxiousness which is all void of creative inspiration entirely when it comes to the 'cult of personality' vloggers and content creators. I'd love to see her do it her way for a last hurrah. Paulina you're lovely. 😍😍

I STILL have Paulina's Estee Lauder promotional advertisement brochures in my bedroom dresser. My mother saved them from the late 70's and early 80's. I am 62 now and will always think that Paulina was the most gorgeous woman in the world. I put her on an actual pedestal because of her unequalled beauty. She was my standard to follow back then.

Paulina at 21 years old she speaks American Style English so good, she seems so Educated, my mom was born in Upstate, from Parents born in Poland,my mom's mom didn't like communist just like Paulina, but Paulina sounds american born speaking better than my grandparents who been here in the U.S.A. over 50 years. I admire Paulina & she does make men's hearts beat faster. her fan, George LeBlanc Jr.🏈🗽

Paulina grew up in Sweden since she was 3 years old. Most people from there have very little to no accent when they speak English. At least starting with people born after WWll. They learn English at a very young age there.
