The directors missed the point of a MUSIC video. It's first to hear the MUSIC and then watch the video. This was the era of the auteur music video directors, all of whom were trying to get noticed so they could get a shot in movies and TV. If MTV was meant to be video radio, why would they turn down the music and then have people talk through the song? I do like the concept but would have been annoyed if this was my favorite song and they messed it up by talking over it.

Godley & Creme were on a STREAK at the time, so, it was to be taken as 'satire'.....but, we just wanted a Music Video! ...ha-HAA!
