    How is fly by wire safer than mechanical linkage? If it fails or power fails, what then? No control of the stick. Buy, that sure does sound safe. Explain how that is a safer alternative.

    • @ZK-APA
      @ZK-APA 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Simple. Because there are no moving parts in a FBW system. Yes if power fails then it fails, but for that it has redundancy (you have to loose both engines, the APU, the emergency generator and batteries at the same time for that to happen).
      In a mechanical system, since it has moving parts, a much higher level of maintainence is required to keep it operational.

    • @Linkskyfyre
      @Linkskyfyre 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ZK-APA I work on turbines and they constantly break down. And I’ve seen multiple redundancies fail, so yes, if all those failed, how can someone fly the plane or will it be a dead stick?

    • @ZK-APA
      @ZK-APA 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Linkskyfyre in case of the 320, the rudder and the THS (elevator trim) is still mechanical linked. So even in the theoretical worst case of all electrics gone, you can still have basic controls available
