Jaw dropping melody! The e minor is a sonorous prince among guitar chords! How many evenings I spent in my teens plucking the twilight sonorities of this chord gold on my spanish guitar! Dear Marco, your playing is unfolding more petals from the gardens of guitar music and make me love this most intimate of all musical instruments!

Ive been struggling so much with making anything actually musical. I wasnt gonna give up, but practicing was getting demoralizing. I can play chords, i can strum decently, i even learned the E string notes all down the fret board. But every time i try to "play" it sounded like i was bashing my guitar against the wall. In three videos youve taught me three musical pieces i can actually play and it sound good. Thank you so much for teaching it so clearly and having actual beginner pieces.

    • @kingwillie206

That happens when you try to play above your level and haven’t mastered the fret board with a variety of exercises. Start simple and strum the chords perfectly, then slowly add finger picking and increase complexity over time with the same song.

Can't believe this. After many years I have learned myself playing the guitar because after a few lessons, I was 12, I realized that you could not be teached the things, like sound and style, that made you so crazy about the guitar. If only I knew what I know now. I really believed that just by having an axe and a teacher it would perhaps take a month or two to be able to play al my heroes. It was just so difficult man. I hated the childess songs and simple chords because that was difficult enough already. Then after many years, I was 22, again I bought a guitarbook and an acoustic guitar and started doing the do it your self kinda thing. Day after day I studied and practiced and reached the point where I at one moment I was a guitarist. Now 25 years later we have internet and I find this channel. It is exactly what I wished for when I was still a young boy. Still I believe that the value now is much bigger. Because I can watch you and just enjoy pasting your lessons to my palet and come just a little closer to my dream. Thanks you.

no judgements....this more for newer players....
.... please take it from me...
.... tabs can rob the maturation of your 'musical' ear...
... listen listen listen... then listen again and again to songs you wanna learn, in your mind, BEFORE you search the tabs...
      ...
being incorrect isn't wrong... its courageous....
but not developing, then, testing the 'ear' along with the other guitar skills will cost more work later on.

Carlo Espresso teaches a flaminco finger style. With thumb, down up down down up, golpe(with thumb, and fingertips tap guitar with 4 strings under palm. Thumb up top, fingers below strings, golpe. Then with thumb in place use pointer finger to play bottom 3 strings, that's up down up, don't lift thumb from its place after golpe to play bottom 3 strings. Repeat. Forr chords.
Bar 5th frets, pinky on 4th string 7th fret, ring above that 5th string 7th fret.
Bar 3rd frets, pinky on 4th string, ring on 5th string, 5th fret, middle finger on 3rd string 4th fret. See pattern.
Bar 1st frets, pinky on 5th string 4th fret, ring finger 5thstring 3rd fret, middle finger 3rd string 2nd fret.
Pointer finger 3rd string 1st fret, ring finger/middle fingers 4th and 5th strings 2nd fret.
Bonus throw in an E7, Am.

Hi Marco, an unrelated thing but you could add an overhead lamp to balance out the lighting in the scene which already looks amazing BTW.
Consider adding a warm color temperature overhead light that would light up your hair and it will balance out the strong rim-light that's responsible for the ear subsurface scattering (glowing ear effect) beautifully.

Thanks for that! I like to keep a light behind my head which helps creating a better focus on my face. This time though I bumped up the % to 40 … I think it was a little too much 😅😅😅. I hope the color grading is ok. I am color blind so, good luck with that 🎸☀️😂.

@@MarcoCirillo It all looks great honestly.
I suggested added an overhead lamp to highlight your hair because the rim light did seem a bit overwhelming, good to know that you're aware. Take care.

Although I am a beginner I can say the song is pretty easy. The most challenging part is the chord progression. Note to self: PRACTISE, PRACTISE and PRACTISE.
Thank you for a great melody.

While there are a lot of ways to play the Andalusian cadence as long as you "obey the sequence" (minor - whole step major - whole step major - half step dominant 7th), the Andalusain cadence with the B7 in the end is the most beautiful. I do not know why, but it has a very unique sound that for example Am-G-F-E7 oder Dm-C-B-A7 do not have.
