Tehachapi Pass - An Afternoon of Trains

- Last year in June 2023, I spent an afternoon railfanning Tehachapi Pass between Mojave and Bakersfield catching BNSF and Union Pacific trains. Included in the video is BNSF's 2023 Employee Appreciation Special, a rare passenger movement on the pass. Also included are other clips from that same day of Amtrak San Joaquin trains north of Bakersfield.
Enjoy the video!
Those are great shots of passenger trains and freight trains rolling through the Tehachapi Pass. Thanks.
I lived not far from here! Loved watching the trains, especially the UPs!
Great captures.. esp trains coming out of curve..
Awesome shots!
Nice video
До сих пор не могу отойти от ассоциации гта 5 что была в 2010 годы,горы,поезда,всё было знакомо
Excelente videos
That was awesome! I'm thinking it took railroaders decades to put down those tracks and dig through those mountains.
Very Nice, Wish I was on it...
Great Video....
That is awesome
Nice video 😅
Great shots of a beautiful passenger train. Must have been a long trip for a San Diegan.
Great video
And I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonahpah
Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made
Driven the back roads so I wouldn't get weighed...(Yes, I know this has nothing to do with trains)😊😊😊😊
Lots of flatcars!
BNSF needs a dedicated passenger locomotive for they’re OCS train
You cut out the middle part of the Train! How can I count the cars? That's why I like to watch!
7:58 is the locomotive on the back of the OCS a DPU
Nice video. Your shots from the south portal of tunnel 5 - did you walk up there on the shoe fly (sp?) from the north portal?
05:28 Como culebra.
I'm braindead I looked up Metrolink instead for coaster
Nice video. I know that your thumbnail is by tunnel 2, but is it on the other side of the barbed wire fence?
I've shot that same angle from the side of the road; just zooming in a bit.
