Man that is a Awsome blade didn't even know they made a bowie
Hello Tom. Ya brother, it’s like a Cold Steel Trailmaster vg-1 San mai III ,… but it’s a touch longer and thicker in the handle, plus it’s made from laminated Cobalt steel. 👍🏻🔪. Seems like a freaking Tank.
Now this is top shelf cutlery right there joe. Congratulations my friend
Thanx Donavan! It is Awesome. One of my New Favorites. 🔪👍🏻
Damm that is a freaking beast
Yes it is! It’s like a Cold Steel Trailmaster on Steroids! 😝 😂
Very nice blade 😊😊
Thanx Bro. 🔪👍🏻
I've always wanted one of these, but I've never even seen them budge on price. retty sure it's top of the line, but no way I could afford the $700 price tag.
@@ShellShock11C , there are two versions of this knife, one is more expensive and comes with a plastic, padded carrying case & a diamond sharpening stone,… I opted for the more affordable version that is just the knife & sheath, in a cardboard box. - I used PayPal, pay in 4 installment plan to purchase this expensive knife. 🔪👍🏻
Hi Joe, nice knife mate but in reality it's just an overpriced Cold Steel Trailmaster " the Japanese version TM". Both are made in Japan by Hattori.
Between $1200 and $1400 here in Australia, 😱😱😱
Hello! Yes I’ve heard that. I feel that it is a bit overpriced. - It’s my understanding that the laminated cobalt steel is a step up compared to the Cold Steel Trailmaster It’s supposed to be a noticeably superior steel for edge retention. Also the thicker handle is quite nice as well. I also prefer the exposed tang on the pommel of the knife, that is a plus, and the ultra thick leather sheath with a dangler is a big thumbs up. 👍🏻. It all comes down to the different steel used. If Cold Steel had used a laminated Cobalt Steel instead of VG-1 San Mai III, and had some of Fallkniven’s better design features, then their Trailmaster would have been just as good. But because they tried to keep the price down they had to cut corners on a few key components: lower quality steel. - a cheaper sheath.- and a thinner handle with no exposed tang for hammering. So even though they are made by the same company,… there is noticeable differences between them. Is it worth the extra money? Maybe. 🤔.
@@JoeDoomsday I really do like the exposed tang, but I prefer a thinner handle.
@@ShellShock11C , I almost always prefer a thicker blade. They can usually withstand more use & abuse.
