Thank you for sharing this. You have discovered one of the few things that a bow saw is good for. Otherwise, the bow saw is one of the worst tools there is! If someone wants to cut firewood, or timber, or do pruning, almost any other saw is better than s bow saw!

+Michael Dougfir Actually, a sharp blade will cut pretty well... Unless you hit a nail of course!

a good quality saw and new sharp blade will cut through limbs like butter.
