This chapter... this fucking chapter...... (spoilers) I almost never cry when playing a video game, but this chapter did it..... When it first started the red moon song was ominous and chilling, I had no idea what to expect when going into the chapter and assumed it was going to down play the set tone. Then it started going into laharls backstory and why he treats everyone the way he does. Finding out his mother sacrificed herself in order to save him was heavy and as someone who has a very loving mother I could connect with laharl in that way. When it came to the revelation that his mother became a prinny and the red moon reincarnated the prinny's I immediatley connected what was coming next. upon laharl's mother saying goodbye to her son and laharl's realization that the strange prinny was his mother shook me I could already feel the tears welling up. and when the red moon song played one last time, I broke down, right there in my college dorm room. Disgaea is one hell of a game, and worth every goddamn penny.
@@Netsaver you know, it could have been in disgaea 4 with it the MC being a prinny instructor, Imagine a scene where valvatorez watches a batch of prinnies he personally trained go through reincarnation, like a teacher watching his students graduate at last, as the last prinny gets reincarnated he walks away as the light of the red moon shines upon him ready to train the next batch of prinnies.

I played this game when I was six years old, I'm now 14, almost 15 in less than 2 months. Its a great childhood memory, and I recently found out how to play it again on computer now that I don't have a PS2. I will play the game once in a while, since it was the best. By the way, Disgaea 6 is about to be released in the US, i'm going to get it when I get a chance

The anime version of Disgaea 1 of this is so sad to see big sister prinny aka laharl's mom leave him a second time without saying goodbye.
Also Vyers crying. The anime was super underwhelming but that foreshadowing was genius.
I bought the first disgaea from the psn not recently and got to this part of the game.... the feels man ;^;
a real shame this song isn't in the other Disgaea games.

in disgaea 2 i made all my characters commit sins, so i could reincarnate them as prinnies and hear this magic tune...
Considering just leveling stats is a sin in D2, every single character is a sinner and by picking subpoenas you are just accepting the sins.
