There's a proper way to eat balot Peel a small hole at the top. We try not to waste any soup as possible :) We want our balot with vinegar and salt (never with pepper :) Don't take everything out of the shell or try to dissect it, that would really look gross. :) But kudos! That was so brave of you to eat balot.

At the store I bought it at, they told me that it was already fully cooked and that it just needed to be warmed up in boiling water for a few minutes before eating 😅
