- Hello Everyone! Welcome to our channel and to our 1889 farmhouse. What better way to get started than by sharing our very first Azure Standard Haul? I'm a sucker for a grocery haul so I figured I'd share ours. I've been wanting to start a youtube channel for longer than I'd like to admit and finally decided to go for it. Hi! I've been a Drop Coordinator in Washington State for 18 years and I'm so glad to see the whole country enjoying what Azure has sourced for us. My Drop is growing like crazy and I was glad to hear how your Coordinator labels the places for each family's stack of goods...we are up to 55 families for this week!
That is incredible! Ours has grown just in the short time I have joined. It's amazing! So very sad about the recent fire. :( I am glad nobody was injured but it still breaks my heart that this happened to them.

LOL! I actually didn't even hear her until I was editing. Very used to it, but will try to minimize dog noise in the future! Thank you for being so nice about it. Some people were quite cranky. hahaha
I just found you - I'm living in Memphis, but Virginia is home. I grew up in (southern) Fauquier Co. Still have family in various parts of VA. I miss it terribly and am looking forward to watching your channel and hearing about God's country! :) Thanks for sharing!

Great haul! Yes we love the russet potatoes from azure too! They seem way more fresh/firm and store for much longer than what I buy at my local grocer for much more money.

Thank you! I just use a very basic one and I don't use pickle crisp. This recipe is pretty much what we do: www.healthycanning.com/pickled-jalapenos

Thank you for this video! I was looking into ordering, but some bulk items, like fresh vegetables, oats, were hard to picture the size of. I have never bought in 50/25/5 lbs before! Lol! As I order trying to think of ideas what/where/ temperature I can store items! Where did you get your buckets/white/ black gamma lids?
Thank you! Cool is best, but room temperature is just fine for dry goods. I ordered these on amazon a long time ago but Azure has them for MUCH cheaper. Just look for food-grade buckets and gamma seal lids but shop around to find the best price. Sometimes local farm stores have them cheap I've heard.
Loved this video! Great pace and informative. One of the best Azure Standard Haul videos I have seen. It may help to include the pricing on the bottom of the screen if you ever decide to do a general price comparison video. Looking forward to more videos!

If you throw some bay leaves into the buckets that helps deter pests. Also for your next grain order: freeze the grains 72 hours, bring back to room temperature, then put into buckets. Eliminating any insect larvae from hatching.

I had to laugh when you explained that Azure reuses boxes because today my husband and I picked up our first Azure drop order and he asked me if I had really ordered 2 cases of shredded potatoes.

Also, you do not have to buy in bulk from Azure. It is just a nice option they offer. They sell in smaller quantities as well. :)
I see your name is Soule. Have you traced your name to the Soules of the Mayflower? My children are descendants of George Soule through his daughter, Susannah. We also have some friends at church here in Anchorage, Alaska who are Soules, descended from George, but through his son John. I would love to hear what you know of your family. Nice Azure Standard haul-- with correct pronunciation of Azure. (It drives me to distraction to hear people say it like a French word. Not sure they even have thought about what they're saying).
