Actually this was supposed to be in between The Squip Song and I Love Play Rehearsal. Joe said he loved the melody so much he put it into Loser, Geek, Whatever.
Probably cause it wasn't really necessary to have in as we now have Upgrade? If you look at it in the production standpoint and musical songs the music is supposed to drive the story along, while this song did do that I think Upgrade was a better choice. Even if it seems like this is before Jeremy got the squip (it might be after he's just a dork) we wouldn't get A Guy That I'd kinda Be Into (most likely) since Christine does talk about Jake in this. Mintea you're probably right. I have read the book and this side of Jeremy relates a lot to the one in the book and this scenario seems like it could also happen in the book so that's why I think they made this song in the first place but it makes sense that they took it out. I love this, but I think I know why it was cut. It feels much closer to the book in terms of the characters' personalities and interests (i.e., Christine being a little bit rude and way more interested in Jake.) I think that Joe Iconis might have cut this after he and Joe Tracz decided to make the musical a looser adaptation in terms of character.
