Is it me or, at the beginning, when they're singing happy birthday, can you hear a whistle to the distracted father who then looks to the camera - at the director i presume - and quickly looks at the cake and realises he has to help the mother put it on the table? Seems like they kept it all in and hoped everyone would assume the whistle was from someone singing happy birthday. In fact, I think I remember seeing it somewhere that Day-Lewis insisted on using the first take or something.
