Good job at compiling all these bumper videos over these past two months! (We got new bumpers each week for The Forge, plus two weeks of marathon bumpers.) Well the first bumps hodgepodge since Spring 2019 is here to begin a new year and a new decade with the return of The Promised Neverland Season 1 rerun to replace Lupin the 3rd Part 5 which is a good decision for Toonami to make. See you Toonami fans next weekend for the Season 2 finale of One-Punch Man and the Season 1 finale of Food Wars! before Soma and friends continued their cooking passion on Season 2 which air in January 18 on Toonami. Can't wait to see what returning show (Boruto, Mob Psycho 100 or Sword Art Online) or new show (Rising of the Shield Hero or Vinland Saga) have a shot to replace One-Punch Man Season 2 on January 18 with the announcement from Toonami Facebook come in this week, until then Stay Gold, Happy New Year and Later.

I still think they could’ve come up with better diologue for these. Feels too generic. I think it’s because the writers of the bumps don’t really watch the shows compared to shows of recent years. They’d always have a good joke for something like Inuyasha or Bebop. With some of these brand new series, they just have a gist for the surface level aspects of it. One example is the mispronunciation of Tanjiros name. But it’s the payoff for getting more recent shows. They can’t be expected to be too familiar with them.
Well when you’re competing against Streaming sites like Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, HiDive, etc., with many of these being recent shows that are only a couple weeks or so behind Japan. Streaming has made many fans impatient and not wanting to wait to see the episodes and to get viewers on Toonami, Toonami needs to rush everything even if they make a mistake. No time to correct it. Like eh close enough. It was easier when Toonami aired series after the English Dub was completed and they knew the story. But these days they don’t have that luxury other than like Attack On Titan, Naruto Shippuden, Food Wars and The Promised Neverland which are either reruns or at least been available for a long while. So basically I blame Toonami’s competition.
I mean, we just got six weeks of The Forge bumpers, plus two weeks of marathon bumpers. They probably blew the whole remaining 2019 bumpers budget on that. What more do you want?
@@jojodujo I doubt they blew it all on that. They also probably had to use it on The Forge episodes themselves, as well as making the post-Forge bumpers. There's a reason we didn't get new bumpers for something like six months before The Forge.
