    Meet the wonderful Kim. This free-spirited surfer was struck by intense vertigo, but this was just the beginning. What followed was a long and hard journey, marked by debilitating symptoms that turned her life upside down. Listen in to her persistent quest to find a quick solution and how that took her through menopause, a life transition, and not having a place to live.
    Kim went to such dark places that, for some time, she did not want to go on anymore. Learn how she finally found acceptance and began moving toward recovery. She will talk about how the coaching group and community helped her, why you shouldn't be afraid of needing medication, and the power of spirituality and IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy. Today, Kim finds reason and great value in her incredible journey.

    I’m only 29, been dealing with this since I was 15. I struggle going anywhere. I stopped going to stores, places with my kids which I hate because I feel like my life has drastically changed. For a while I was ok and would go anywhere but for some reason I started focusing so much on getting better and finding a cure that it has made my anxiety and panic attacks so much worse and I feel like it’s just never going to go away. I hope to one day move past this and live my life the way I always wanted too.

      There is hope. I have worked with several people whose symptoms started as teens. My first question would be to look at what was going on in your life right before the symptoms got worse recently.

      When I was looking at the triggers that added up and ultimately resulted in chronic dizziness, I wondered why more younger people don’t have chronic dizziness. It’s kind of a build up of stressors and there comes the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. Sort through the stressors. I have noticed in the success stories, something they all have in common is limiting contact with energy vampire situations/people who don’t resonate with your sensitivities. Moving forward when you can. Create a good day when you can
      I’m so sorry you got this so young, but it makes sense to me why it happens

Each day is a new and different day , thankful for the words , I have found that words have profound power , if not for dr Yo I’m not sure how I would be coping right now . I find joy in the smallest of things and along with my spiritual beliefs I press forward knowing this can be managed . Hi Doctor . I was a subscriber to your steady coach app last year . I was diagnosed with uvh last October and I completely recovered during February of this year . However my symptoms have started coming back again for the past few days . What may be the cause of it ? Does the brain decompensate like this ? I have started physical therapy again as I have those handy with me . Any other recommendations? Also is the steady coach app still active ?

    Dr Yo, firstly I want to thank you for what you’re doing. It’s so helpful to so many of us! My question is, I’m just over 2 years into having symptoms, and sometimes (certainly not always) they seem to be delayed up to 4 days after a triggering event (movement, wearing heeled shoes or excessive screen time for example), is this common? And does it still point to neural circuit dizziness? Thank you so much!

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Totally! Delayed reactions like that are pretty great evidence that it HAS to be the nervous system.

    When the physiotherapist do manoeuvers to detect if cristals in ears and if there is nystatmus as response with vertigo a a reaction , Does it mean for sure presence of cristals or something else ?

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It doesn't necessarily mean there are crystals, but there are pretty clear signs that the physio can see that will help him or her know if there are crystals or not.

    Dr. Yo,
    Any advice on dealing with symptoms on days barometric changes are significant? After PPPD I’m so sensitive to fluctuations and most days can be pretty symptom free now, but any time the pressure drops (happens a lot here in CA in the summer) I’m basically down for the count. How can I get my body to stop overreacting to this normal process? Will that part ever go away?

    Dr Yo!! Greetings from Scotland! I would like to ask a particular question if you don't mind. How may ( If any ) of your patients have Multiple Sclerosis. I have been diagnosed with MS for the past 3 years, however my Dizziness has only been through the last 6 ,months, I guess I'm trying to ascertain whether this can be PPPD / or indeed, MS, obviously you cannot diagnose, but opinion for patients with MS would be appreciated. , Colin.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Colin! All symptoms are biopsychosocial, meaning they're influenced by your nervous system/emotional well being even when there is a physical cause. There is pretty good indication that even MS flares are biopsychosocial. Now, dizziness CAN be related to physical lesions in MS, but we have folks here with neurological diseases like Parkinson's who've found these methods brought them a lot of relief. The expectations might be a bit different if there IS a physical cause of a symptom but it's rarely black and white- meaning, even if there is a physical cause, in many situations symptoms can be improved by taking care of stress/well being.

      @@TheSteadyCoach Thank you so much for replying, I am, and planning, on watching a lot more of your videos. I have committed some time to date, these are by far the best out there on YT. It’s certainly going to be a long journey. Interestingly enough, I’ve been suffering serious sinus issues for the last 18 months, the NHS over here is not a great organisation so my waiting times are huge. I imagine that has influenced things for myself. May even the cause of this given the amount of stress to date. As I say, thank you so much.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Jackie explained it perfectly. Anxiety isn't the cause, it comes along with it. The brain being in a state of threat doesn't necessarily mean the person had any mental health symptoms, but anxiety is very common with dizziness.
