Hot spots are the volcanoes which are formed by subduction of one oceanic plate over another

Mantle rock in those extra-hot regions is more buoyant than the surrounding rocks, so it rises through the mantle and crust to erupt at the surface'. this is google defination of how Hot spot formed, means no Plate tectonic involved

You forgot rising sea levels also create islands. The British Isles were created by rising sea levels, for they were once connected to mainland Europe (last ice age).

Amazing content. Though one correction is needed : Andaman and Nicobar islands are not Volcanic islands but are a part of Himalayas(Purvanchal himalayas) that got submerged and remerged.
They are the result of Ocean Ocean convergence of plates...as mentioned in the vedio ...go and read.
