Kudos on the transparency. I'm proceeding with mine, the team seems very committed to the project and the price point is that of a couple spools of filament.
And the reality is that the firmware on the printers is so well developed and stable that there is really little reason to update.
Ill keep my order going. Bambulab seem reactive to the users so I think you will be able to come to an agreement in future updates. I hope not too many cancel their orders on you. I see it as an investment in the community. Keep up the good work.

Can you clarify what you mean that the panda touch can be flashed to run klipper printers? When you say clipper touch do you mean the BTT pad 7 or do you mean there is a new touch pad coming out and the panda touch can be flashed with that software as well? I am a bit confused on that part. Thanks

@bigtreetech5117 thank tronxy, I polished their .... of a printer by completely redoing it. Manta m5p cb1, tmc2209 uart, biqu h3 v2s lite extruder, lis2dw adxl, biqu micro probe, hdmi5 screen. It flies so fast and is super silent. Id love to know a what you'd recommend for the ifast, dual extruder heated chamber. Just a good mainboard with heated chamber support. Maybe the m8p? Thx
@@melioratewithnate Hmmmmm....Definitely something with 8 stepper drivers so that you can drive both of those extruders as well as all of your axes. M8P is a really solid board and saves a lot of installation space + wiring so I never hesitate to recommend it. You would want to keep it cooled if it lives in the chamber because it has the Linux board on it. You also would need an external SSR to drive that chamber heater since they generally use quite a bit of juice.
perfect ! Kinda what I was thinking. Yeah internally the ifast is going to get a much better ducted cooling system, isolated from thhe chamber heat. I appreciate the quick reply! Cant wait to get started on it!
I have a cool duct/mount for the h2 series, cpap based, very high flow. Also some cool vibration dampers I just released for free. Still have to upload the duct and mount but I'm loving then parts
I just received my Panda Touch, and I can't figure out how to select the color I want the print to be printed in. Looks like I have to reslice the part and select the color there, which is pointless. What am I missing?
When will the panda touch start shipping out? I purchased on launch and haven’t had any updates. Also I’m glad you updated us on the getting one at the open discount. I tried to get one first but they were gone by the time I made it to check out.

Well I was just told by your company that they confirmed that i preordered and they they will send it out in early march when yesterday I was told it would be sent today. Honestly that right there will probably cause me to not purchase anything else from this company. Even when I ordered it said shipping late January.

It was the way they advertised the launch that was the problem. If they had said 200 at a special price for launch, i doubt anyone would be complaining

I have an issue with my Panda Touch. I’m running it in the DC 5V Mode. Now my panda touch is running, as soon as I take it off the charging mount it obviously shuts down. Now when I put it back on my panda touch won’t start again until I du a factory reset. But after that the problem starts again. I already made a support ticket. I hope that you can help me resolving this problem
Hi, friend. If you want take the panda touch off and keep it on, you need slide the power switch to Lithium Battery Power(the middle choice). Please let me know if it works. Thanks!
@@bigtreetech5117 yes I know that… But the problem is that when it’s in DC 5V remains off when I put it back on the plate. It does not start anymore once I take it off and put it back on. I have to switch into battery mode, make a factory reset and then put it back into DC 5V mode. Then the panda touch starts. Otherwise it’s off and does not start..
How do I send a message through shopify to state that I still want mine shipped?
You should receive an email to the address that you gave when you purchased it. You can just respond to that mail. If that fails then just hit up info@biqu3d.com with your order number and we will get it shipped.
Sounds like a solid direction forward. For what it's worth, I deal with encrypted API's on a regular basis, and the idea of an authentication token, would seem like a reasonable option for allowing both security, and third party application compatibility.
Thanks for this tip. Perhaps it is the route that they will go. We are keenly awaiting a bit of feedback and really hope to be able to work closely with BBL on this.

Finding out that I can turn this into a Klipper Touch so that I can use it to run Klipper on my open source Jubilee tool changer put it over the top for me, so I ordered right away. I received my Panda Revo a while back and I'm loving it. Performing flawlessly.

So can anyone answer this question when will it be released to the customers no one is answering this question as of yet. also, if and when they encrypt wifi as long as the API can address the issues that will arise then no reason to cancel. When does BamBu Labs intend to release the API that is the bigger question.
We don't know much more about the API other than it is planned. We trust that BBL will come through though and we are working hard to engage with them on this. And I really hope the ones who bought multiple units have print farms and not a POS reseller that will just inflate the price and take advantage of those who want one right away.
No idea what's with Bambu claims about adding "encryption" as they ALREADY support encryption in mqtt - from their wiki - "To allow secure communication, the MQTT server supports access code authentication and communication data encryption using TLS."
From our understanding, they plan to go one step further and actually encrypt the data packets prior to transmission. So a layer of encryption even above TLS.
Panda Power - please make it more advanced and not just "smart power socket". What we miss in P1* and X1* Bambu printers is good LED lighting. Panda Power could have additional port and be driving such additional LED lighting. In synchronization with existing internal printer LED (so Panda Touch gets internal led state via mqtt and tell Panda Power to on/off additional led in synchronization with internal led - that way our additional LED would be driver from existing Bambu PC/mobile apps etc). Obviously I also expect Panda Power to be nicely mounted on back of Bambu printers :) There are more potential usages like driving chamber heater addon, powering additional fans and much more.

Ah, sh#t. I just ordered a panda touch yesterday and came appon your video now!. I saw a video the other day in which the presenter said that the BTT Panda touch will be compatible with the newly released Solvol sv08 which I have on order. Now, after seeing your video, I am worried that it wouldn't support me new sv08. Please could you advise me as to where it will work with the Solvol sv08?

Hi, friend. It will work~ You can turn your Panda Touch into a K-Touch and back again with a simple OTA firmware update.
Thank you so much for getting back to me. Now I also see that theirs a Clipper update due out later this month, things just seem to get better and better. Will there be a larger 7in model in our future? The reason I ask is my old eyes could sure use allitle help.

It's def not an afterthought. It was in dev even before the Panda Touch but Panda Touch ran ahead a bit. Now chipping away at Klipper Touch again ;)

No, this definitely. will not harm your machine. It has been designed to make your machine(s) a whole lot easier to use.

That's doubtful. I suspect the API would be released to third parties for testing ahead of implementation.
We are very optimistic that we will be able to implement the official API once it is released and this would reinstate much of the functionality. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee it until we have more info from BBL.

"You" would be doing that, not Bambu. They have never forced a firmware update; so it's not just some magic thing they will do. So even if the security patch came out tomorrow, just ignore it and keep using the Panda Touch. I highly doubt they would destroy their market share by a short sighted forced firmware update.
@@channelnotfound403 New devices from Bambu Lab would always have the new firmware preinstalled and would therefore be incompatible with the Panda Touch if Bambu Lab wouldn't not give BTT access to the API.
And I don't think it would hurt their market share as much as you might think. Most people don't care. I've read some comments under review videos of the Panda Touch where people have questioned the usefulness since they can also control their printer from the slicer.
If user manual is as poorly made as all BTT products...
As soon as I saw people getting multiple discounted units I stopped trying to buy one. It looks to be a nice product and I'm sure the price point is equitable, but there's just not even value add for me (with only 2 BBL printers).
I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in the future, the offer of the refund and acknowledgment of the mistake in letting people get more than one VERY limited discounted product on the release shows that you're listening to the community and willing to own uop to your mistakes.

Yep, They "HAD" to tuck tail because all of us Duped into waking up WAY early on launch day, Blowing the chat up with calls of getting scammed, only to be proven correct in what we said. I said during the launch stream that They were holding back the purchase link so that their TH-cam channel/influencer shills could load their carts up with the first 200 units, Those were never intended to go to the general public. And now BTT is ONLY trying to save face with this wishy-washy backtrack.

Sorry, but this is BS! Speculating what BambuLab will do next is like... You can only GUESS IT. You can say whatever you want, but it might happen that Panda touch will become useless if BL decides so. It is BTT's fault that they didnt reach BL BEFORE they even started with Panda touch project. Regarding API - IF/in the FUTURE :)
Also a word about 200 units and buyers who bought multiple units.... Most of us could not get even 1 with fast clicking. I call it BS also. But now I am happy I didnt buy it.
We actually reached out multiple times during the development but we know that the BBL staff are extremely busy and were likely very focused on the release of the A1 series and were therefore unable to respond to us.
Regarding the 200 units, we never anticipated the demand. Nevertheless, all buyers now receive the $10 discount.
Way to bury the lead. I had it in my cart for $29 too but only $10? Plus, now it's going to be nerfed in the near future too. $29 would be the max I'd pay knowing this. I'll be requesting a refund.

We completely understand. Nevertheless, it currently works with all Bambu machines and it seems that the possible firmware update may only come in many months from now. Even then, it will not be forced and since the firmware on the machines is already very much feature complete and bug free there will not likely be much of a reason to update.
