The temps are rising, the sun is shining and I'm excited to share my favorite charming container gardening tips today!! I hope today's video helps get you excited to plant some gorgeous containers this season! Let me know what container idea is your favorite or if you have a special container combination that you come back to year after year! Enjoy!!
Awesome! “Thriller, Filler, Spiller” is what makes a beautiful container! My husband is a third generation owner with his brother of a garden center/landscape design build in several cities! He is very busy!! ❤Our home (inside and out) is European Garden! Thank you for promoting Garden Centers!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden and your pro potting tips with us, Ashley. I so appreciate all the time that you put into your creative videos ❤. I can’t wait to see how they grow.
Thank you so much for including landscaping/gardening content! A lot of interior design channels focus on indoors only, and I find myself also struggling with the external styling. Your planters and gardening tips are inspirational!
I have both in the pots!!! My editor might have used the salvia clip. The white “Belleza” Guara is one of my all time favorites and has already doubled in size since we filmed this video!
Hi Ashley! I'm going to try out your tip on angling the plants in the front of the pots. I've never heard that one before! I'm zone 3 in the foothills of the rocky mountains so planting is tricky here! We just had another big dump of snow a few days ago so I won't be planting for awhile yet! Have a great week!!
Wow!!! I can’t imagine snow in April! We have a beautiful spring, but summer is like a sauna 😅 when your weather warms up and you do get to plant your pots I think you’ll really like angling the outside plants. It always makes such a big difference and automatically makes them spill over the edges of the pot, so pretty! Thanks for watching and happy Sunday! 💕
Beautiful arrangements! I can’t wait to see them grow and fill in! I love the flat, wide planting next to you at the end. I chose Downing Slate as my exterior paint color. Purple and white is my color for plants. It’s so nice against the paint color. I also love to use fish emulsion for fertilizer. It’s smelly! However, a little bit goes a long way! Like, I take a toothpick, grab a tad and mix it in with a gallon of water. I shake the water until the toothpick is cleared. Then I put a bit on pre-watered soil. You can use this as often as you feel like dealing with the smell during the season. 🤣 But plants go nuts and absolutely LOVE the stuff! Colors get really intense and vibrant. It’s incredible.
It’s 37 degrees outside and cloudy. Ahhh… life in the Sierra Nevada mountains! I forgot it’s actually spring time! I’ll just live vicariously through you for now! I’ve got my plant projects lined up and waiting patiently. I’m still trying to finish painting my bathroom Le Luxe gray. It’s beautiful so far. Just need to finish the cabinet doors. It’s currently 48 in the guest house. I’m doing that on Monday… if the world is still here later that day, that is.
Oh my goodness!!! Well, it’s been so pretty the past few days here, but check back with me in August when the heat index is 110 and 100% humidity 😅😆 sounds like it’s the perfect time to finish up your projects as you wait for the weather to warm up!
I love❤ your containers beautiful combos!!! They look so pretty on the steps💚 like the tips you gave ,🍃💐🌄fox tail fern is for sure my go to pinks and white i'll be adding purples this spring/summer
I love big Fox tail ferns and I usually do white impatiens and geraniums, but I do love pinks when I see them at garden shops. We're almost there weather wise to start planting.
Beautiful! Can you please comment on drainage for your containers? Do they have drainage holes in the bottom? Or do you use some type of drainage layer in the bottom such as pebbles, charcoal etc? Thank you!
They have drainage holes and I put a few pebbles in the very bottom so that the potting soil doesn’t run out of the holes and cause a mess! 💕 thanks for watching!

I am absolutely loving your content! Thank you so much ❤
Just a quick clarification. You are showing a gaura plant, not a salvia. 😊

I love your plants. Please where do you buy your pots. They're beautiful
I’ve collected all my pots over the years!! I got a few new ones this year from At Home, they had pretty creamy glazed ones!
Check out Cantrell Gardens, Good Earth and River Valley Horticultural.
Thriller filler and spiller!
I LOVE that!!!!! 👏🥰🌱💕
Fyi, I only like white, pink, and lavender flowers.
@@LoveandMisses those are my favorite colors in the garden!
