    I got one as a gift and just started using it. Cleans much better than my Oral B. This one definately removes plaque and feels like a pro dental cleaning.

    Superb review, presentation and production. I bought this on a Best Buy Deal of the Day for $34.99. It came with 9 Dupont brush heads and 2 Pro-Flex brush heads. Upon getting it home I saw your video and immediately bought a second one before the Best Buy Deal was over.
    The reason that I bought the second was because the brush heads are $10.99 for 2, or $5.50 per head. The 11 brush heads the Aquasonic reviewed come out to $3.19 per brush head.
    I've used Sonicare products for 25 years and they're great. However, their brush heads run about $10 each. And when the rechargeable battery dies, you have to buy a new Sonicare, unless you want to do this:
    Open and dismantle handle
    De-solder old battery
    Replace battery
    Solder in new battery
    Reassemble handle
    Good luck with that. Now I have 5½ years of quality brush heads and two Aquasonic toothbrushes for $70.
    From my short experience with the Aquasonic Black, it's an ultra high-quality ultrasonic toothbrush...and it look great!

    I got mine 2 days ago. Best electric toothbrush I have ever had. This thing is the bomb. I’m confused as the term you used wireless charger. The charger actually plugged into the wall. So I’m confused with that terminology. Can you answer please?

    This looks nice, but there are several Philips models that are the same price or less. Even if this is as good (and I assume it is), the risk of the off brands is not being able to find replacement parts, heads, etc….
    Nice review.

    • @DentistrywithDerik
      @DentistrywithDerik  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jlmcgrot it’s very comparable to Sonicare. The one major benefit is it includes 8 replacement heads where Sonicare only gives you one. The heads also tend to be less expensive to order on Amazon.

    I bought this for my husband as part of a gift because his oral B would no longer hold a charge. He was so over the moon about it after the first use that I thought surely he must just be trying to act over the top about the gift. He still wouldn’t shut up about it months later. We went away for a weekend and I forgot my toothbrush and he suggested I use the extra brush attachment that he has in the case and use it. I threw my oral B out. I have never ever experienced a toothbrush that did a better job that this. My husbands dentist praised him for his flossing when he rarely flosses. My teeth are whiter than they have ever been and I can only compare how clean my teeth get to the cleaning I get at the dentist when I get the good hygienist. I’m blown away. My husband was not exaggerating at all. Now I just have to buy my own. I’m still using his spare brush head. The case comes with two heads and plus you get 6 other spares too so 8 brush heads total. My husband hasn’t charged it since mid February and still going strong. I’m going to chuck my kids oral B’s and get them these. They would be fantastic for brushing braces. The vibrations get in every nook. Bravo!! amzn.to/3PQhhsg

    If it's like the 'Duo' it lacks a charge indicator that 'goes out' when charged. You have no idea if it's fully charged or not and will likely leave it on the charger too long. Such a standard feature that's missing.....why???

    Out of the aqua sonic, oral b pro 1000, and phillips sonicare 4100, which one cleans the best?

    • @Psychguy00
      @Psychguy00 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's really depends on your preference. I have both the aquasonic and the oral B, they both clean about the same. However, the bristles on the aquasonic brush is a bit soft. I personally like orab be brush heads with more stiff or harder bristles but that's just me. Aquasonic is not bad it just depends on how you clean your teeth. If you brush hard and apply pressure than go with sonic or oral B instead of Aquasonic which again is on the softer side. Good luck!

    Okay I got this based on reviews and the vibration is SO DAMN INTENSE. Even on soft setting! The toothpaste falls off of it. Is this normal? It’s my first electric toothbrush and it tickles my teeth. I don’t like it. Am I doing it wrong? How do you use it? Do I need a less intense toothbrush or am I just not used to this yet?

      As with any device, there will occasionally be defective ones. You can always contact the manufacturer, but to be honest, they are so inexpensive on Amazon, ordering a new one may be the easiest solution.

    Derik, What is your opinion for Oral-B Series 6 toothbrush? Would the Oral-B remove tartar and plaque better vs Sonic? Thank you.

    • @DentistrywithDerik
      @DentistrywithDerik  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both reduce plaque well. The broader question, that patients need to ask, is whether they can cause damage to areas of recession - I never recommend oscillating toothbrushes for that reason. An oral-b with a pressure sensor is a fine option but they tend to be much more expensive that a sonic brush. I have no reason to recommend expensive, oscillating brushes, when suitable, less expensive, options are available.

    • @DentistrywithDerik
      @DentistrywithDerik  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Waterpiks are generally useful for patients with active gum disease, bridges, implants, root canals and braces. They are best uses in combination with a sonic toothbrush but do not necessarily cancel out the need for the other. Checking with your dentist or hygienist is always best.

    • @DentistrywithDerik

      The best toothbrush is the one you’ll use. That said, I generally don’t recommend Oral-b - they can be expensive and rely on oscillating rather than sonic vibrations. Aquasonic is a sensibly priced sonic toothbrush that works well.
