Try going for a walk first to build up some hunger. With 30-60 minute walks in AM and PM before eating, we never have food refusals. (Preparing your own food is also good.)
I want to get a Samoyed but Every video I watched says Samoyed bark alot and are not good for condos. How did you train MoMo to be so good and not bark indoors?
Try to back up a bit whilst he's eating, giving him some more space. If he come to you for cuddles tell him to go back to eat and once he finish it praise him with cuddles. Another tip is to feed him after playtime instead.
There’s many good industrial brands that give dogs their nutrients and good flavoring. -Canidae -Pedigree -Blue Buffalo -Purina ONE - Hill’s -Caesar I could name more too but these are the ones that I KNOW are fresh, nutritious, and good for dogs. That dog food is fine, it’s just that some dogs are less eager to eat or take a longer time (my dog, for example) another problem may be that you have to mix things up sometimes or make eating time fun.
So already, sleeping with the dog locked in the room all night, while the dogs instinctively at night get up and go around the house to watch, for me it is a mistake; second mistake is not to leave him a bowl of very cold water, because dogs like to drink water like this, in case he gets thirsty during the night. Third error, the dog is a carnivore, so he must eat meat and nothing else except twice a year, but they know very well how to eat the plants that are necessary naturally; so give him kibbles which often contain a high percentage of vegetables, which does not bring him anything because it is not a rabbit and meat that normally you yourself would not give your dog if you had to prepare it yourself it is so sweet; these are slaughterhouse waste, crushed bones, tendons, eyes, etc. After and finally, but a big dog in an apartment, poor animal, human selfishness in its purest form. In comparison my Cavalier King Charles lives in a house 10 times the size with a private garden of 2000 square meters ;each his financial means but my dog would be more suited to life in your apartment and yours would be happier in mine.
Yea... girl your "great quality and cheap" food is clearly not liked by your dog. I hope you changed the brand and his diet since then. Also, he prob feels thirsty all day.. Leave him out a bowl of water throughout the day so its not quenching its thirst with damn tap water. Do you know how much chlorine and chemicals is in that? Give him the same brand of water you drink. Poor dog is holding in its pee waiting for you to wake up. Love the dog and you organized the vid well... just treat your dog better. You are not giving your dog real food but some industrial crap. If you buy a dog you must afford also its proper food. Dogs deserve better food than people do.

Dogs that eat proper dog food live years longer and are healthy. Same applies to humans. My experience is that proper food prolongs dog's life by 25%. Dogs need not only fresh meat and bones but also fish, vegetables and berries. High quality vegetable oils should be part of their diet. I have had dogs for over 60 years. If you say I'm spreading disinformation I say you are only advertising industrial products and you are very lazy.
@@juusohamalainen7507 I give my dogs Hills I/D special diet dog food with some chicken meat for lunch and they love it :) they are both healthy doggos of a smaller breed. The sammy in the video though, clearly doesnt enjoy his food :/ should definitely be changed for smth of better and tastier quality
U can mix wet and dry food so he likes it more

As a vet student, I can say that it's common that some dogs are just not highly food motivated, it does not mean that he does not hate the food
He needs a constant supply of fresh water ie a bowl always topped up. Also he needs more variety in his food 👍🏻🙂

I was really lucky and got a sammy that isn't vocal! But you have to teach him the word "Bark" and then teach him the word "Quiet"
