I’m super lucky to be in a family that is supportive of me wanting to go into music as a career, I know other people aren’t as fortunate. This song reminds me that no matter what anybody says about what I want to do with my life, I will become who I’m meant to be. I won’t settle for anything less, and that’s a promise.
Everytime I hear this song, it’s just making me feel like someone’s telling me to follow what makes me happy. I’m on the edge especially on what I’m going through right now. I have a work which I’m thankful for but having fears makes me want to quit. I always think about it makes me wonder, where am I really meant to be? We’re on a journey of our own which everyone will have different scenarios but I hope all of us will find that one thing we’re looking for which I believe is happiness. ♥️🙏🏼

Working since the age of 14 and turning 30 in just a few months has really took a toll on me. I work so hard and dedicated myself to people who I make look good but the glory will never reflect on me. It may take just a little more time but a change sounds really good.... love this song.

What most people don’t realize is that the best thing they can be is them. This song really made me see that. Especially with my anxiety and depression, I feel like I can’t be me, so finding this song has really been an eye opener for me. Remember to always be you, and that nobody else should change who you are except you and for the better.

I think doing that will only keep you in the same cycle you are in now. You should know that God promises that he has a plan for you. Even if you are not performing that plan yet you should be content in the knowledge that God has a plan for you, and content with the things God has given you now. One at you will fulfill your purpose, but for now God wants to grow you into the person who can do that.

At fifty, I have only just come to realise that all my life I have tried to please everyone else. Committed my heart to three men that don't even notice WHO I am. They just see me as this old queer that is in love with them. I was unfortunately born in a man's body, which I could never really accept. I've considered gender reassignment when I was younger, but I've come to realize that it will not be the answer for me. I can barely take a painkiller, leave alone having to take hormone pills (which may also cause cancer), for the rest of my life. I've only heard this song now for the first time and I strongly believe that God (in whom I've kind of lost my faith), has led me to it. From here on out, I will be who I'm meant to be. If God has love in store for me, I will find the man who can see the woman I'd like to be, regardless of this hideous exterior. I have certainly lost a LOT of precious time searching for where I fit in.
