The question I wish had been asked: What rights do local communities have to establish educational standards that are anti-science, pro religious, or below the standards required for jobs in modern economies (for example, creationism, anti-climate science, substandard math and reading proficiencies, etc)? Who should protect the rights of those children in those communities if the power to govern education is a local community prerogative?
Purpose of education should be building a citizen not robots for factories.
System is for Human beings not vice versa.

Favoring the more local form of governance confronts resistance from those institution that have gained authority, and are unwilling to cede it back, more specifically to individuals and families. Public education is recognized, for example, as social good, but resists allowing individuals, parents, or families the power and freedom to choose the source of education.. Local- public schools operate as virtual monopolies. Publicly funded education vouchers giving families choice over the education of their children is denied. .The collusive relationship between politicians, and public education unions and bureaucracies, is a form of authoritarianism that needs to be reformed, if not defeated.
