New subscriber, glad to find your channel. I live in Louisville and fish Cumberland and Dale Hollow pretty regularly. Nice to see content from our neck of the woods! Keep it up, sir!
Cumberland has been good to me this winter with crankbaits. I'm catching most of mine on Shad Raps or DTs. I have found a few of these RK crawlers around the lake at various times from old snags after the hooks rusted out. I put new split rings and hooks on. Your video makes me think that--as soon as it warms up a little--I should take them and throw them around. New sub here from a local.
@@PythonDad thank you! I found a spring craw colored rk crawler floating close to Conley the other day. Always a good day when you find free baits. Lol. I keep a shad rap tired on but just haven’t made myself commit to throwing it.
Headed down myself from Taylorsville this Sunday/Monday …nice job ! Keep catching em . I got few rock crawlers ready, jerkbaits , a rig , Demaki rigs , few football finesse jigs , blade bait , drop shot do nothing ..tube ..underspin , trap…All that and I bet I only throw 3-4 things mainly what u are and a jig ! This cabin fever is getting to me
Loving your videos! I really like how you show both angles on a fish. Funny story, my dad and I drive to Somerset that day and it was raining a little. I told my dad that I guarantee there was someone brave enough to be out that day. I was right 😂. Good job Sir.
Finally got me a big boat and out of the job boat and hit Laurel Saturday and touched waters I hadn’t ever seen lol.. needless to say I got skunked 😅 knew I should have hit Cumberland instead! Love seeing the content!
@ I guess I just need to touch up on my skills then lol I usually can do good in spring and summer but I haven’t really fished it during this deep winter… I’m sure I’ll learn a thing or two from your videos Is there any chance you could make a video on how you graph Cumberland and use your graph? I feel like I don’t really get the full potential out of mine..
@@alexvincent9414 right now is tough on Laurel. About mid February they’ll start turning on. For graphing do you mean mapping, side scan, down scan, live scope, or all of the above?
@ that’s just around the corner! I’ll be ready to get out there and try hittin a few! And all the above would be amazing! But I don’t have livescope but I’m sure someone might find it useful 🤷♂️ but if you were able to do a video with everything you mentioned and explaining how you set it up and why you set it up the way you do and maybe having screen records of graphing Cumberland and explaining what your seeing and what your looking for, that would answer all my prayers lol I’m really trying to understand my contour mapping and finding key spots
@@alexvincent9414 I don’t think I can screen record, or at least I don’t know how. Lol. I’ll try to do one and just video the screen. The main thing I’ve been fishing on Cumberland lately is channel swing banks. Anywhere that the creek or river channel swings up against the bank is what I’ve been looking for
Great video. You keep doing that and you’ll like Cumberland better than Douglas. Could you see them or were they tucked into the rock? Thanks for getting out there.
@@bobmorrow2957 thank you! I couldn’t see them, but when I’m cranking I’m not really looking for fish on the scope, mainly just bank contour and structure.
@@mikemulberry2296 I always have one tied on and on the deck. I threw it a little that day but not a lot. I’ve caught a ton of fish on an a rig though.
