This may be the most valuable episode I've ever watched on this show. Lo mfethu with his efama(elevator) is going to liberate the black child. So many Black farmers are having difficulties in accessing the market and sometimes end up with a spoiled produce. The monopolies are doing the gatekeeping intentionality as to push this narrative that without the white farmers this country will starve. I remember years back there was a shortage of spinach big retailers had to import from China yet small scale farmers had to watch their spinach produce getting spoiled because they couldn't access the market because of the red tape. I think we need a part 2 yalo mfethu so that he can explicitly explain what his company stands for and how it's going to uplift the farmers and especially the issue of quality assurance because that thing has closed so many doors for many of us.
10:15 That is such a misleading statement. Only people that do not understand quality processes in modern food production will fall for that. Making food processors with a public safety obligation the boogie man. God we are in big sh!t.
I learned a lot, thanks shadrack. Please return and give us a masterclass on some of the pitfalls you had to overcome, things you could have avoided in your journey and how young, interested people can get into the industry especially food processing, packing and distribution. I look forward to the day when consumers can order directly from e-farmer.
Knowledge and Wisdom came ,sat and had conversation with the interested people in SMWX. thank you for bringing Mr Shadrack. I learnt a lot as i want to restart my fallen grocery shop.
This is going to go done as one of my favourite interviews. I love the multiple analogy and how they converge. From the "elevator" to the COVID-19 "you're on mute". No one could have done this interview better than you Sizwe.
Very articulate lomfo, uyamthanda umkakhe unkabi akupheli mzuzu umkam my wife 😊 it's very adorable. I'm definitely following him, he's a deep thinker with a lot of passion and a clear purpose. Ntinga ntakandini ❤🎉
my friend is hell bent on venturing into farming leaving his training business that's doing well. I keep asking him if he has done his due diligence and I can tell that he thinks I don't believe in him. This episode will expose him to the due diligence that I couldn't articulate. Thank you SMWX for this 🙏🙏
Never commented on this channel but this is for me. Have been talking to my family about growing our own food. But falling into deaf ears. I'm watching from Pretoria by the way 🤦🏽♀️🍊🍋🥦🍆🍇🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Very informative interview. We need to have more EHPs employed by the state, the reason we have high cases of food borne illnesses is because we have a ratio of 1:35 000 while the WHO recommends 1:10 000. We currently have a fake food epidemic in our country and not enough EHPs to enforce compliance.

Great conversation broadly... I think the vision he speak of about what they want to do with efama, and the picture he tries to draw with block chain tech being the center for honest data is amazing. I love his message on honesty and being ethical, but he also needs to evaluate his ethics. You can't on the same platform ask for us to be honest about our uncles who know people who "sell" cows at discounted prices or be honest about when big chains are misleading the people while at the same time insinuating that we over look people who illegally enter the country. To say if we mute, those things while we interrogate our ethics as people in an inherently flawed message, unless it is to propagandise then fine, but i would argue that is unethical and dishonest. Interesting show overall 👌🏾
I am farming into the school, I am also an agriculture graduate. Its hard in here I really want to learn Agriculture Business like Agriprocessing but the problem is to study further. If they can also empower like that its will be better.
We need to be more bold, to call a spade a spade. We are not going to change behaviour and hold people accountable without exposing them. The red tape will never go away until we call it out.
@@T1XerxesIts called a drought . It happens cyclically in nature, and nature always recover. That is why you should build up capital in the good years to buy from other countries during droughts. It is this kind of planning ability that differentiate humans from animals. Like the story of Josef in Genesis in Bible. Sometimes droughts and famine are man made. In the last 100 years under socialist/communist regimes like in Russia, China, Zimbabwe, Venezuela and soon South Africa under the EFF.

However today, Zimbabwe, is a net importer of foodstuffs from the Western World"
At first I was happy 😊 and following Shadrack, but when he said "counterfeits are counterfeits!"(time frame 44:23:00 to 45:00:00) Ay I could not hear him anymore 😒 though I forced myself to continue listening. To me it sounded as if he supports or he is defending the foreign nationals that are selling counterfeit food to our community.

Waiting on political analysis. I think it's been a week now since DA presented their manifesto. I thought this was the channel that was going to help me make my May 29th. decision?
