Is the plane getting you up there having any impact on the speed itself? Not at all. If so you can start arguing which plane getting you to altitude would give you more speed getting down. So it useless to involve the plane as part of the activity itself.

Where they typically jump, i.e. "we have a pretty high air density", vs. Arizona, where they had gone to jump.
