This is such a beautiful ode to their friendship. By the way, they both obviously looked gorgeous together, but that shot @3:48 is just breathtaking, especially of the 1920s Joan. Billy was no slouch though. He had a profile every bit as stunning as Joan's. Drop dead gorgeous styling. I absolutely love Billy Haines as Joan's eternal BFF. Only Ramon Novarro looked more gorgeous opposite Joan. Anyway, just imagine being so young, carefree and impossibly beautiful, not to mention having your whole life ahead of you. Magical moment. The young Crawford was such a revelation, a true vision of youth, loveliness and beauty! 💕💕
I always saw Joan as such a role model for a working life. She embraced new challenges with gusto and was a total stickler for details, in her professional, as well as personal life…..slightly neurotic? Perhaps. But most people are and she never took any of her successes for granted.
Despite all the nasty and spiteful things said after her death Joan was the most loyal friend and she strikes me as gracious, thankful, thoughtful, thoroughly professional and basically a good-hearted lady.
