Unpopular opinion: most of the kpop songs that use classical pieces feel like trashy, over the top, remixes, where they recycle these beautiful pieces in unoriginal ways. I think classical music and kpop simply don't go well together.
@@annadamico1685 I'm a musician, I love classical music, I've done a fair bit of singing it. I think sampling in pop music is just fun, it doesn't cheapen the original piece because the original piece still exists. Also, sometimes you get beautiful re-imaginings, like Red Velvet's Feel My Rhythm!
@@wobinwobinwobin I think my main issue is the lack of originality, not only in kpop, but in pop music in general, which causes producers to mindlessly recycle older music. 9:52 It's used in a Purple Kiss song as well. I can't remember which one specifically but I think it's Skip Skip. 14:00 Also used in Wonderland by Mave. 16:40 It's used in IChillin's new song. I believe it's called Alarm but I might be wrong.

I just realized that 12:00 from LOONA uses a remix from the Tarantino Bass by Black Octopus sample. Which means Why Not? is also using it but remixed ONCE AGAIN.

oh my god i had it on my playlist that i used for that section i feel so stupid 😭 when i put it on shuffle it filtered out coz of the boycott and i must’ve forgotten to put it in there somewhere
The whistle-sounding sample at 16:40 from sounds of kshmr vol. 2 sounds like it is also in Taki Taki by Selena Gomez, Cardi B, DJ snake and Ozuna! which is like a massive mainstream western/latin hit with over a billion streams on spotify (in case people don't think this happens all over the music industry hehe)! So glad I finally figured out what song I was thinking of when this one came up in the video, it was bothering me for weeks lol. can anyone confirm if this is the same sample????
