One thing that these clips show you is how compressed and uncomfortable the sound design is for more recent events. Whether accidentally or on purpose, that background casino chatter mixed with what sort of sounds like the ambient noise of the casino's HVAC is SO MUCH MORE satisfying! Transition from clip 58 to 57 really illustrates it.
I actually don't mind him. He's mastered the art of getting under people's skin, although he probably ended up head down in the trash bin more than anyone else during recess in school.
People always say that jamie gold was the luckiest ever to win the main event BUT the man hit hit the deck the whole way thru ,it happens ..but joe cada was the luckiest ever .he made some of worst plays I've ever seen in poker and ran like a septic luckbox..he was the most blessed
Molina was a complete d-bag in that years' tournament. I don't know if it was an attempted angle or inebriation. He came back in later years and was much more subdued.
Not that any of the major casino corporations are great, but I avoid Caesars rooms as much as I can. I mostly play cash though, and Caesars properties generally have the worst rake structure in Vegas.
17:00 they act like this is a golf tournament or chess tournament it's so strange. No talking because you are confusing her.... no hand gestures like seriously 😂

Are the rules of the hand around 14:00 changed because this is insane that he can't talk like this... Please tell me the WSOP hasn't gotten ridiculous.
Not personally, but have seen and heard that he's actually pretty nice dude in real life. And the difference between him and like Kassouf, Melina, he's not antagonistic in general. He keeps things pretty light clearly and keeps it about the game.
@@CrazeeAdam My problem with him is he wants to dish it but he can't take it, I saw him on the bike stream live and he got so frustrated because of player had a full house and I guess Jamie was expecting the player to act faster but Jamie has taunted players throughout his career not for any information and it wasn't some type of speech play, he just seems to be somebody who doesn't have a friendly demeanor
@@EGarrett01 Phil Ivey is one of the best to watch because of the decades of pedigree, accolades, praise and respect from fellow pros, so that we all know we're watching greatness whenever we watch him play. That's not realistically achievable for other players. For 99.99% of players, being stoic and silent is going to be viewed as boring, and showing personality is the only possible way to be interesting or worth rooting for/against. @@blankoblanco It depends on how you play also. Tom Dwan wouldn't say much for years when he first showed up on television, but he was the most entertaining player on High Stakes Poker, because his play was extremely sophisticated while also being super-aggressive and putting huge amounts of money in the middle.
Kassouf is annoying but he did absolutely nothing wrong in that hand. If it wasn’t a women in the pot with him nothing would have happened. Terrible they gave him a penalty for that.
Eh. I think they're quite different actually. Gold talks a lot but isn't antagonistic. Kassouf is pretty antagonistic generally. Also most who have met Gold have said he's a nice guy.
Imagine getting a talk down for talking. Like him or not, Kassouf was an expert in getting to their heads.
“9 high like a boss”😂 never gets old
Heart of a lion!
1 round penalty :trol:
That is the most annoying guy ever wow

Dannenmann taking that loss like a true gent, no blow up like most would have had.
Why would anyone blow up there? He got his money in bad.
He was so fun to watch that year, just happy to be there and great energy. I think that was the first year they did PPV for the final table.
@@ZalexMusicThat one was the first WSOP final table I ever watched…unforgettable experience
Kassouf is quite the piece of work
Right? He's like the much more toxic Jaimie Gold. He's pretty antagonistic despite saying "keeping it friendly"

I really wish Jaimie shut him up there. I guess in the end, he got the last laugh
Effel is the absolute nut low.
Its perfect speech play, what a moron Effel
The speech play of Joe Hachem cannot be undersold. That was awesome to watch.
27:40 This hand won Joe Hachem $7.5 million
#60 was just a bunch of talking
I agree
so was number 54
And i wish Jaimie could have shut him up
They have world class folds back in the 90-81 video. This is a trash list.

Effel and Caesars/CET have ruined poker. Screw both of them!

He should have won, great guy. Hachem is so arrogant, it really annoyes me.

Iban like Brllande. I don’t fade 2/3 outers. Last hand All in pre flop AQ vs JQ and of course the jack comes
Their read on Jamie was golden. JRB is a great player but has some of the worst beats I have ever seen.
Can someone explain how these 30-60year old guys always find 20-30 "friends" to root for them?
WSOP Main Event 05 in my opinion was the best tournament to unfold. So many highs and lows.

Kassouf mind games, I love it 😂
#54 I feel sad for the guy look at the authorities just ganging up on him
I would love to see molina & phil H. Argue about a hand together. I would pay to see that, but no more than 2 bucks. 😂😂😅lol
A nice little deuce ball would be just fine😂
Bellande always loses I swear like no matter what the hand is
#60 was that the year gold win??
Yes it was. And I wish Jaimie shut him up. I guess in the end Gold got the last laugh

Molina seems more enjoyable to be around and that says something about

Kassouf is different. Poker is becoming a borefest because of the likes of Eiffel.Pickingon a relatively unknown, tha true measure of a bully.

Funniest thing is that Josephy is more annoying than Kassouf
