Hellmuth is one of the greatest players of all time, but he isn't good in cash games. Super good tournament player. He gets how to play tourneys. His style and thinking don't work well in ring games.
Although it was an over bet i think you have to call there, youre literally at the top of yoru range and if youre going to play Ace 7 like this and you river the best possible card besides a 7, you have to call a significant portion of the time. Maybe against a nit yeah but against Matusow and the way Kassouf was talking, Matusow could try to take advantage. I thought Kassouf realized this and that was the whole point of the speechplay. I like his personality and he's good for the game but sometimes i feel like he's just talking out of his ass and not really applying it to the decisions he makes. He's gotta realize how his talking affects the other players perspective of his hand. Against a silent more skilled pro, I dont think Matusow ever does this move, the check, on turn , check on river, and then rereaise overbet all in 2.5x pot. I think any good poker player calls there. Youre ahead of wacky two pairs that could be turned into a bluff, AK, KK, QQ, or Jacks even though I think pocket eights or pocket nines are more likely due to the blocker bluff potential to represent the straight, but youre just ahead of SO MUCH here
robinson Arias yeah but he didn't represent a strong top pair at any moment. I think will played it well, raising pre, betting with top top in the flop, checking back the second pair and betting 2 pair on the river. And if you believe when mike says he has a pair, you can assume that it is more likely to be a small one that could have made a set. I dont really know if its worth it to call an all in to win such a small pot.
what hands in MIke's value range is he ahead of? nothing. he's ahead of a bluff. not to mention he told Mike specifically what he had. He doesn't know if he believes him or not, but it's certainly a consideration.
He was meaning mike wasn't as strong as he was portraying. And with that board and that run out. Queens was basically a bluff by the river. Any ace x you made 2 pair. Or the ace was good enough. Plus Any set or 98 i believe was the nut straight. That's Phil.meant he knew was not that strong. Which he was not for that board.
It's not necessarily a great play or a bad fold, I think this comes down to knowing the player and playing a strategy heads up vs that player. Like Mike said right after the hand, he knew he wouldn't put it all in. Certainly a lot of players would make the call in that situation. I think Mike even put him on having an Ace in his hand.
Kind of arrogant statement... "You have to know who's playing with scared money, and who's not." At least Will is playing with his own money, whereas Mike is being staked 10k at a time by Phil.
Mike the mouths style of poker I've always been a fan, the tournament when he got knocked out and Jammie gold won the whole event, I felt Mike's pain, he sounded like a deer being shot!!!
"You have to know who's playing scared money" very true very true if that was a 1/2 game and he had 400 behind instead of 4K he's getting snapped off. Good play by mike. I've played with will a few times at Grosvenor in Luton and I tried to bluff him in a similar spot and didn't get through.
Luke these are even stacks I played at in 1-3 games uncapped in Las Vegas. It really isn't that high tbh. This has nothing to do with the betsize of 400 or 4k.
mathieu bilodeau yeah, that’s literally just a typical Tuesday for Mike......has to put his phone in his pocket on vibrate due to people calling about cash and looking over his shoulder every 3 seconds to see if his bookie is coming to break some fingers, lol. I do like Mike, though. He has stretches of brilliance, but then self destructs in a couple of hands.
There s a first, me rooting for Madasow .Been away from the scene for a few years and good to see him still playing tho . Kassouf speech play here is fun and gets plenty of stick from the regs and nothing like the WSOP clip where he is over the top
Everything Matusow said and did screamed weakness here. Luckily for him some ppl just talk to hear their own voice whereas others are a master of words. This clip/hand was a great display of the former from both sides. Kassouf's choice of words clearly increase his action but he seems too self centered to realize whats going on right in front of him. Matusow did seem to become aware of his mistakes a couple of the times but he continued to make them and unfortunately when he did seemingly realize, he also looked really uncomfortable.
He looked really uncomfortable, but over the years there are times that Mike has a monster at the top of his range and he exaggerates that same "uncomfortable" look, with mouth movements, with words, etc... In this particular hand he actually jumped back and forth on each street, sometimes talkative sometimes silent etc... Will knows that Mike knows Will will fire 3 barrels with "9 high like a boss" if needed so of course a river check-SHOVE could be a flop set or a turned coconuts... or a strangely slow-played AA hitting the gross one-outer. Plus Mike is a notorious NIT when it comes to playing big pots on the Turn or River, is likely what Will also took into consideration. Especially since Will knows that much of the time when says "I have Top Top" on the flop he actually DOES have that exact hand (or air) and thus when Mike check-shoves OTR he could actually be value-shoving after trapping OTF and OTT against Will's Aces Up.
I love when pros claim they knew what they were doing the entire time. Mike made a boneheaded shove and was practically holding his breath when A7o was squirming to call or fold.
talking too much during a hand affects both you and your opponent. At some point will just had to shut it and think seriously about his river decision.
Funny of helmuth to say something about folding there, it’s a 3x pot size bet on the river. Kinda polarizing where 2 pair is bluff catching, he’s not doing it with AK or even A10 probably
He's one of the best in the game, just doesnt have the success rate others do, he and phil laak are probably on par with each other in terms of accomplishments
@Craig Laycox - you're right...only 81st on the world wide all time live winnings list...47th in the US alone. Not a winning player at all or anything. Just 4 wsop bracelets, close to $10 million in live earnings so yeah he doesnt win much....except for about the other 99% of the population who play the game. You know you played bad when Hellmuth can't believe you folded something lol
Haha, well played sir =)
Hellmuth is one of the greatest players of all time, but he isn't good in cash games. Super good tournament player. He gets how to play tourneys. His style and thinking don't work well in ring games.
@ I said something that was apt in response to the original poster.
Lmao
"You folded two pair? This guy doesn't even know how to SPELL poker...."
" you have to know whos playing with scared money, and whos not. " mike the other mouth matasou
lol
It's funny mike said that since he's broke lol
I love Wil, but he just doesn´t have the experience, that Mike has yet and this hand shows.
c'mon now, you believe that line I got a bridge to sell ya
It's funny because Mike is playing with Phil's money. He just got lucky there trying to punt of Phil's stake.
mouth on mouth violence. Will got out mouthed
Only got out mouthed cause mike THOUGHT he had the best hand lol, like genuinely stg he thought he had the best hand
Will "The Mouth Jr" Kassouf Lol
I think it's more of a "big brother/little brother" thing, but still an awesome analogy!
LMAO
😂😂😅😅
Say anything you want but Kassouff is a good sport
yeah, he is fun to have in game. i like talk poker. makes the game more enjoyable
Aside from stealing money from his friends at the roulette table
@@RevZman don't exactly know the details.
@@golfmaniac007 those are the details. He was stealing money from his friends at the roulette table lol
I have to say, WK sounds like fun on this occasion, and nice enough too. Those other times, though..... :/
Phil: "King nine off suite?"
Flips of Queens
"I knew it!!!"
lol typical nonsense from Phil
Lmaoooo
Phil is the best ever, AFTER HE SEES THE CARDS lol
He meant he knew he was bluffing…
"I knew he wouldnt put it in" .. NO bro.. As soon as you realized he had A-7 you realized you made a mistake and were glad he folded. GTFO
But he still played him
Man I'll take Kassoufs and Hellmuths and Mattusows every day over the other boring ass players at the table
Mike says the only smart thing in the end: "You have to know who's playing with scared money and who is not." The only good lesson in this video.
Good work Mikey🤣🤣👍🏻
phil asked the right question, how do you fold there?!! its the mouth!! lol
The second Mike said "I know you have two pair that's why I bet" while looking like hes going to puke...... snap call.
Much better intro - thank you LATB for listening to the viewers. Thumbs up
Kassouf is really dining out on the whole '9 high like a boss' thing, he can't help himself

How many Championship do you have? Oh like me none. Shut up lol
Mike "The Mouth" Matusow: I am your father
William Kassouf: ¡No...No...No..is not true... it's impossible.....Noooooooo!
Helmuth - hes got K 9 off suit, show the K 9 off suit
Matusow - flips over Q Q
Helmuth - I knew it! I knew what he had.
Huh?
When he said "I knew it" he meant that he felt that Matusow was weak in that spot despite projecting strength
It took almost 8 minutes to play the hand. Fucking nightmare sitting with those 2.
ANDY's face when mike shows hold cards is priceless
is he awake?
Matusow : "My poker nickname is The Mouth".
Kassouf : "Hold my beer"
toptenguy1 ...
...GOLD...!!
This should be labeled: Honesty Never Works in Poker
Hellmuth: "King 9 off suit show it Mike"
Mike: Tables Queens
Hellmuth: 'I KNEW IT"
haha too funny^^ I mean in the end its the same as he knew Kassouf folded 2 pair but its hilarious nonetheless
Phil in the background.
_KING 9 OFF SUIT?!?!_
_YOU HAVE KING 9 OFF SUIT!!_
*I KNEW he had Queens*
He was meaning mike wasn't as strong as he was portraying. And with that board and that run out. Queens was basically a bluff by the river. Any ace x you made 2 pair. Or the ace was good enough. Plus Any set or 98 i believe was the nut straight. That's Phil.meant he knew was not that strong. Which he was not for that board.
that sort of play would never work in a 1/2 game lol
That's for sure! But 1/2 players will also never turn queens into a bluff there. What a great play.
its not a great ply its a bad fold by will
Depends on who you play in that 1/2 game.
Depends.
I've definitely folded 2-pair on the river to a shove.
Hell, I folded a set of Aces on the river 2 weeks ago...and it was the right play.
Any videos with Kassouff, helmuth, dnegs, polk and the mouth at 1 table would be "the dream stream"
That was a great line in that spot: "Let's just put you all-in."
"You have to know who's playing on scared money and who's not". - Matusow
Wise words.
matusow borrows money from phil
Mikey knows this from experience
Yes. He learned that lesson playing on High Stakes Poker.
@@JorgeAugusto3 can cocaine and hookers cost alot.
I could watch Mike and Will play poker all day.
Folding the best hand...”Like a Boss”
Wow this is not what I expected at all. Amazing, Mike!
It wouldn't be a highlight if he called...
He gave it away when he said he had the best hand then took it back. He's lucky will didn't catch that. He was too busy listening to himself talk.
Phil won this hand.
Germán Assum He wins every single hand in his mind....even when he gets felted.....”HONEY, he called my pre flop min raise with aces!”
Nothing pleases me more in poker than watching Will Kassouf lose
Kind of arrogant statement... "You have to know who's playing with scared money, and who's not." At least Will is playing with his own money, whereas Mike is being staked 10k at a time by Phil.
xxACExKINGxx Yeah except will feels the need to steal $100 chips from his friends at roulette tables
Thats what kills me is that mike is on phils dime lol
These two should be at every poker table on tv.
Mike the mouths style of poker I've always been a fan, the tournament when he got knocked out and Jammie gold won the whole event, I felt Mike's pain, he sounded like a deer being shot!!!
When did Kassouf turn into Gordon Vayo?????
donald paluga hahahaha, well at least kassouf is still playing. Vayo disappeared except for some weird online results
We miss you Mike, such a pleasure to see him in those videos !

What stakes were you playing in Grosvenor with Will for it not to get thru? 1/2?
1/3 probably, that's what he plays up in London at the Vic - not 100% sure he plays that all the time but have never seen him play bigger...
Luke these are even stacks I played at in 1-3 games uncapped in Las Vegas. It really isn't that high tbh. This has nothing to do with the betsize of 400 or 4k.
to be fair I play at the vic casino in London and Will plays there a lot so its not unusual to see him at lower cash tables and low buy in tournies
love how mike say is playing whit scared money mike play all is life on scared money

Love this kind of poker where people can handle the chat...
What?? Why did the weasel with A7off fold it?
imagine being Phil and seeing Mike trying to light your money on fire
THAT IS SOOOO satisfying because if kassouf won we'd never hear the end of it !
Where can you watch the full table episode
Wow that was a horrible bluff but it got paid off with a horrible fold. Face palm everywhere.
best comment.
Love the talk between these two. Hilarious!
love it!......Matasow has always been a favorite of mine
mike thought he was jamming for value hahah
What year Opus One Wine in the background, let me guess,,,,,,,,,1984?
Congrats on getting rid of the terrible commentators
Will was too loosey goosey eating a sandwich
That hand is just too high in ur range to fold, if u get coolered by 89 or set, so be it
Worst fold ever
Just watched the ultimate bet doc. I will never look at helmuth with a shred of respect again. Where there is smoke there is fire
Last words I love.
You can see here who is scared to loose money and who is not hahahah.
Poker books
I like what Mike Matusow said and I quote "you have to know who playing with scared money and who's not"
Ironically it is usually other players taking Mike's scared money
One off-topic question. Does anyone know what glasses does Matusow wear here? Like them a lot :)
Hahahaha love when Will is genuinely concerned a out seeing the hand he acts so funny

Cant believe Matusow's hand didn't get caught in the cookie jar
He looked really uncomfortable, but over the years there are times that Mike has a monster at the top of his range and he exaggerates that same "uncomfortable" look, with mouth movements, with words, etc... Way to skylark, but who won the pot? Mike's mistakes? He was ahead till the river and stayed ahead with his play!!!
I think what scared Will is when Mike said "can you beat a pair of fours.... how about tens? and as he said that a ten came on the turn.
The mouth vs the bigger mouth. This hand was hilarious!
Kassouf hairline looks like a maccas wrapper. The big M
I love when pros claim they knew what they were doing the entire time. Mike made a boneheaded shove and was practically holding his breath when A7o was squirming to call or fold.

This is why you should table talk while in a hand 😂
this is the way poker should be played. table chatter is fun poker.

Kassouf bullied like a BOSS
lmao..............ur being sarcastic obv..........

Well done all.
“You gotta know whos playing on scared money” Mike spittin facts
Live at the bike, why did you add Mike's all in bet to the size of the pot if Will's effective stack is only $4K?
Bluffing with hands that theoretically have showdown value is such a hard thing to do
PH: "K9 offsuit"
PH also: "He said "I have One pair" and I felt like he was telling the truth" 👍
"You gotta have heart, baby" !
Nice! I like this one, keep coming!
He pointed so far forward asserting that his pair really hangs that low
"his cash game book hasnt come out yet" . hahahhaha why do people pretend to hate this guy hes pure comedy

Why did he limp with Queens, am I missing something?
He needs to buy phil`s book lol
Since when does Mike Matusow limp K9o UTG, Phil? Strange read..
i thought its forbitten to call out the own acutal hand or is it just in mtt or at wsop?
Post the video where andy punishes mike
Mike is a legend. And makes a legend move and speach against THIS typ of oponent.
It's funny how Mike had exact hand that Will bluffed against with the *#9HighLikeABoss* @ #WSOP
After all these years mike is still trash at holdem
chapmas1 he's actually really good 👍
He's one of the best in the game, just doesnt have the success rate others do, he and phil laak are probably on par with each other in terms of accomplishments
Ive seen some interesting techniques mouth uses and they get him paid

Mike used Will's big mouth against him. Brilliant.
live by the speech play, die by the speech play!
Slam dunk bet call on the river and scared money gets rekt. Awesome, haha
Will was cool there. Not obnoxious.
You got to give him credit he tells him his had and hits 2 pair on the river, that's the poker gods right there. And that's karma for being a sick fuck 😂😂😂
