I'm thinking I need the DXS18 for my garage.
Just found your channel, and been binge watching since hehe, great info. I mostly do 100-150 indoor events mostly with the occasional 300 (maybe 2-4 times a year). Been considering buying a sub instead of renting for bigger events. Im partial to buying the 18" instead of 15" thinking I can use the 18" for both. not taking into account the size and portability, would it be wise to do so? or buying the smaller one and renting the larger one when needed? thanks in advance for your feedback. If portability isn't an issue. Go with 18".

Nice highlight of them both. I Have currently got 2 Alto tx15's and a Yamaha dxs15 but havnt properly DJ'd before. How many people do you think they can handle indoors and outdoors? What would you recommend adding next to the setup to cover more people? I mostly play edm house/ rap and hip-hop music. Cheers.
I've never heard the Alto subs personally. But You're probably in the realm of having decent coverage for 300 people indoor. Keep in mind that not all brands play nice together. For example, we ran EV subs with QSC subs once and we found that it sounded more full with the EV subs turned off, even if the overall volume was reduced. This is due to the blending of two different frequency ranges and how they interacted together.
As a general rule, I would recommend keeping everything in the same brand/series if possible unless you've done testing and know that everything sounds good together.

Get a pair of DXS18’s they would be great and have ample headroom

Hi, Good video. Im about to buy 4 of thees, and 2 dzr15 as top. My question is, Will i do just fine with the dxs18 instead of the dxs18xlf just because i buy the dzr15 as top? Sure, i Saw some Good things function together with the xfl and dz, but in general? Thankfull for answer.

@@sandronejm Hi, yes. The top speaker sounds amazing, but what impressive me the most was the subwoofer , damn those 18 got some tremendous punching power for sure. Im very pleased with the setup

With 18inch sub you dont need 15 inch speakers, because the sub will HiPass the sound 80hz
I want double sub woofer for dj and events which one i want to choose with amp
Both of these have amps built in. But we highly recommend the larger 18" subs if you have a vehicle to transport.
