    Mahibah! I spent 3 of the best years of my career on UN/ICAO assignment to Lebanon and lived on Hamara in Beirut. Loved Lebanese food, but especially enjoyed the Pita bread. Thank you for showing how to make my own here in Canada. Shukroun!

  • @laurentweisgerber3846
    @laurentweisgerber3846 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    the recipe looks great, just for clarification, you ise 6 cups of flour and 3 cups of water which would be in weight 600gr flour and 710 grams of water. your dough looks a lot less sticky and liquid that a 110 percent hydratioun dough.

    • @GhenwaSteingaszner
      @GhenwaSteingaszner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Laurent each country have different flour so you can start with less and add as it goes .Here in South Africa the flour we use 6 cups takes 3 cups of water .Have a blessed day

    • @audiegamra3909
      @audiegamra3909 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You miscalculated : 3 cups of water is approx 643g and 6 cups of flour is 1005g which is 64% hydration ✔️

      @hungrykusinera4123 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@audiegamra3909 8 cups of flour is 1000 grams equivalent to 1 kilo.

    After the pitas have rested. Which side first hits the baking sheet? The top side or the underside while it was resting.

      She used 6 cups of flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of salt( in my opinion, might be too salty), 2 tablespoons of yeast and 3 cups of lukewarm water.

    I also have tried many recipes they ether come out flat or something. I tried your recipe and I may have done something wrong. Some of them came out flat as a pancake. I’m thinking it might have been the way I flatline them. Or the temp in the oven. Which was 500 degrees.Thank you for the recipe. Be well and God bless.😇

      Hi Jose please follow all the steps and when you roll the bread make sure it is not too thin it must be 1/2cm the thicknees and you need to rest it .Make sure you oven is very warm and if your oven has a fan will help .You can also bake it using a frying pan .Have a blessed evening .
