  • How to change a transmission range sensor. It’s extremely simple if that’s your only issue. Hope this was helpful! Thanks for watching!

    👍 That was probably the cause a few months back when you decided to change the transmission fluid. Glad you got it sorted out.

    Thanks for the tips on the install. What were the driving or shifting symptoms that prompted you to change it or was just the dash light and the code that got you started on this job?

    • @RenegadeHQ
      @RenegadeHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just the dash light.

    Why not just hold the shaft with a 7mm open end wrench while tightening the inner nut to hold it in place. No need to allow to rotate to first or anything.

  • @FJcruisin07
    @FJcruisin07 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What’s up Brady I just had a tire rotation and alignment done few days ago, but now my steering wheel pulls slightly left, and I’m wondering what went wrong? My mechanic told me he could not fully do the alignment because the one side was too rusted and something about the control arms causing issues but he said it was good enough and should be straight and in line. I’m assuming the partial alignment might be my issue but what else could it be? I might get some other shop to see if they can fully complete the alignment because I don’t want to pay for a half done job

    • @RenegadeHQ
      @RenegadeHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would definitely get it done by a different shop. If parts need to be replaced they should do that BEFORE they do the alignment.
      If it is in fact off at the second shop I would get their print out and take it to the first shop and get a refund or something.

    Thanks for the Video, I am not sure if you give a part number, I get two different ones I working on my mothers 2008 ridgeline with the issue it is not always going into park and she has to start it in N every once and a while . 28900RJF013 should be correct but they call it a neutral safety switch. RJF023 is a range sensor they look the same. any advice before i purchase?

      I know some people call them different things. I just went through Honda dealership to make sure I got the right part. Unfortunately I don’t have the part number. Sorry about that.

  • @BackRhodesDrumming

    I got an 07 and the dash is clean with zero lights, but I frequently have to jingle and finagle with the ignition upon parking and starting, the lights on the column randomly go in and out and I’ve found if the lights are out and you try to shut off it locks the key in the ignition. As well as if you jingle the gear selector it’ll make the lights display and then go away. With there being a sweet spot. Would this part help fix things?!

    • @RenegadeHQ
      @RenegadeHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not a professional mechanic but I would guess it would help for sure! That can mess up a lot of stuff if it doesn’t work.

    Replacing the sensor will it let my Honda Ridgeline start in park instead of just neutral?

    • @RenegadeHQ
      @RenegadeHQ  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it should. Just like mine was in the video, I suspect the electrical contacts in that sensor for the “park” position are worn out so it’s probably not sensing it’s in park to allow it to start.

    • @RenegadeHQ
      @RenegadeHQ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s interesting. That could be a number of things in my mind. Start by looking at the 3 main components of what makes it run, fuel, air, spark. It may be one of those, other then that maybe just plug into it and see if the computer says anything.
