My cousin Rashidra Scott played the main muses girl with the big Afro with the puffs to it. I remember going on the cruise to see her in that back in 2008 for its premiere 💜💜💜✨so happy to see my cousin in these clips
I am here for the dissertation on how the Sutton Foster types replaced the Susan Egan types in the early 2000s Broadway scene and what we lost with that🍵👀
I need more of Dan dunking on stuff like this. he is both appreciating it for what it is/was, but also dunking on some questionable choices. and then there's him stopping himself mid-thought to laugh because he tickled himself with his own jokes. xD Love ya, Dan!
I remember seeing this musical when I was a kid. This video reminded be of parts of it like the Zeus and Hera puppets and how insane Pain and Panic were. The one thing that has stuck with me however after all these years was Hades like aggressively telling the joke “Why do kids eat their boogers? Because they won’t eat their broccoli!” And the chorus of groans from the audience. …I got your Sutton Foster joke.
I've already been subscribed to you for awhile, but if this had been my first video of yours I would've instantly subscribed after that Sutton Foster reference 😂😂😂😂😂
I love learning about all these cruise musicals, and I would have LOVED this if I got to see it in person. Hercules is one of my fave Disney movies and I am really hoping all the productions that have happened recently mean it’s coming to Broadway
The Muse-ical was really well done. Very true to the animated film’s spirit. Especially when the Hades was on point. The Muses always had amazing voices… I saw Jennifer Hudson in 2004 as one of the Muses before she was on American Idol.
I saw this for the first time back in 1998 and Hades had a non-wig version that had FIRE that exploded from the top of his head! Not surprised they cut that safety hazard. I have that version of the show on video, as well as the pirate musical they ran for only a few months. It had an entire ship on stage!
I just binge watched the Hercules cartoon series on D+, and somehow the Hades in this musical reminds me of the episode where Icarus plays Hades in a school play. Basically they're both playing James Woods playing Hades by going completely over the top. And damn straight they should do more with Hercules. It's pretty underrated as far as the 90's movies go, even with ALL that merchandise and said cartoon series.
I remember I was in a play of beauty and the beast and one of the producers was saying how the napkins look like their from Athens. He then went on to tell me about this Cruise production.
i really need this to make it to broadway and do well, so it goes to west end, so that i can see it! i need to see and hear and enjoy the story and music in person. EDIT: I'M AT THE ZERO TO HERO BIT IN THE 90S AND I CANT STOP LAUGHING AT ELVIS HERCULES OASIDKJFGB
I don't know why but I love a musical with a funny narrator like into the woods or seussical. There's something about a play knowing it's a play that's so fun.
This is the reason hercules became my favorite Disney movie and Hades and Meg became my personality 😆 I wish they would bring this to the parks. I am so glad you gave it a good review and appreciated it for the silly fun time it was meant to be.
I saw your community post and I just gotta say I watched this on Easter and Hercules is my favorite Disney movie so this was a treat. The costumes are fun, the goofy energy is right, and it almost brings you back to that 90’s cozy energy we’re all nostalgic for
Also you make great content Dan! The moments we’ve spent with you discussing all manner of Disney character costumes, Disney on Ice, parades, and even visiting Hershey Park have given us little pieces of joy snuck into the subscription feed throughout our days
Excellent DisTory episode, I remember a HunchBack stage show at Disneyland when that film released, was it a fever dream?? I swear I saw a blip of it on some of Disney’s 90s home videos
ok I don't totally disagree about Sutton Foster, but I do wanna say that I got to see her in Anything Goes when it first opened, and it was one of the most incredible performances I'll ever see in my life
The Paper Mill Playhouse versions was very low budget and is clearly only intended as source material for the cash cow that is licensing for school and community theatres.
the algorithm needs to post up….i love this video and your obscure disney musical videos in general, dont let the dummy algorithm deter you from giving us more!!!
I really hope the future for stage production Hurcules is bright, it seems so fun and campy. With news saying the live action version is going to be a “modern” take, it makes me a little worried they’re going to botch my favorite Disney movie.
Hercules is one of my fav movies and to see it become a musical is awesome! Hopefully it goes to Broadway bc I would love to see it! Dan me and family love to watch your vids together and we all love how u make us laugh and smile
Imagine if the live action could have half the energy of this muse ical 🥳 they could never. This vid made me so so happy and nostalgic, Hercules has a special place in my heart and hearing you talk about it really filled me with joy. Also puh-lease talk more about the awesomeness that is Susan Egan !!
I always love your content. Plus I die laughing at your jokes. You’re hilarious. Love that GOT EM segment XD I remember when you compared Ursula with rooomba or Maggie simpson being a potato sack with a head on it. You make me laugh when you describe characters in theme parks XD
I didn't knew this musical existed until now, but, thanks Dan, this was a great video for a great day like today. Happy saturday and i hope i see you soon for more. God bless you and greetings from Colombia.
I was fortunate to see this show on the Magic before it was gone. It was a enjoyable show. Many shows, games (like the Hercules Disney Quest game with good and bad endings), and events of the past I hope to find on TH-cam vs lost in history.
We love this movie and music! Do you think since Percy Jackson has started making the rounds in student productions that perhaps the Greek Mythology theme will make a comeback?
I remember when my family went to Disney world I saw the frozen sing along and they made really funny jokes about COVID 19 and TikTok. The hosts Did AMAZING!!
Please do a video on Island Magic. This was a little show done by the Fab5 and friends in the Buena Vista Theatre. And was all about the characters preparing for guest arrival to a Castaway Cay. With Goofy literally combing the beaches with a giant hair comb. It was such a funny little show and I loved it. It was still running in early 2004 I believe.
I LOVE this show! I have never seen it but there was a clip on TH-cam at the beginning of TH-cam of hades explaining how he’s gonna rule the cosmos and I swear I repeat it to this day. Can no longer find that specific clip since the words changed so often
I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this because I got a backstage behind-the-scenes tour, but there will be a new Broadway musical of Hercules coming soon
I actually saw the Disney Cruise Line musical. Did I enjoy it? Not really. The ship was rocking really bad. My family all was sick just trying to get any enjoyment at all and the curtains and set pieces were moving quite a bit
OMG Noises Off. My high school theater troupe performed that and I was stage manager, meaning I got to choose the intermission/scene change music...and I picked music from Kingdom Hearts 1 xDDDDDD
My cousin Rashidra Scott played the main muses girl with the big Afro with the puffs to it. I remember going on the cruise to see her in that back in 2008 for its premiere 💜💜💜✨so happy to see my cousin in these clips
Thats so cool! She is amazing.
So, it must be in the family, right?
I am here for the dissertation on how the Sutton Foster types replaced the Susan Egan types in the early 2000s Broadway scene and what we lost with that🍵👀
Hard same,
I need more of Dan dunking on stuff like this. he is both appreciating it for what it is/was, but also dunking on some questionable choices. and then there's him stopping himself mid-thought to laugh because he tickled himself with his own jokes. xD Love ya, Dan!
6:32 - 6:44 I love how you always interrupt yourself with your sudden burst of wheezy laughter. 😂😂😂
Me, too XD
IMO a new, revitalized Hercules musical should be going to the Hyperion at DCA and NOT more Marvel crap.
I remember seeing this musical when I was a kid. This video reminded be of parts of it like the Zeus and Hera puppets and how insane Pain and Panic were. …I got your Sutton Foster joke.
I've already been subscribed to you for awhile, but if this had been my first video of yours I would've instantly subscribed after that Sutton Foster reference 😂😂😂😂😂
These videos are usually chaotic..but I think this one had the most chaos in the best way possible
I love learning about all these cruise musicals, and I would have LOVED this if I got to see it in person. Hercules is one of my fave Disney movies and I am really hoping all the productions that have happened recently mean it’s coming to Broadway
Surely there are more crazy cruise musicals to cover here.
The Muse-ical was really well done. Very true to the animated film’s spirit. Especially when the Hades was on point. The Muses always had amazing voices… I saw Jennifer Hudson in 2004 as one of the Muses before she was on American Idol.
I am the person that the Susan Egan/Sutton Foster jokes are for and I thank you for pandering to me specifically.
I saw this for the first time back in 1998 and Hades had a non-wig version that had FIRE that exploded from the top of his head! Not surprised they cut that safety hazard. Hercules feel everywhere these last couple days. At least in my TH-cam feed. Glad you covered the Cr-usical!
that Hades wig is mystifying. Hercules is a mess, but a fun mess
I literally LOVE anything hercules related so when I saw this I immediately clicked and hold no regrets
THE AUSTIN BUTLER JOKE! I WAS CAUGHT SO OFF GUARD 😂😂😂
Can we get a Moose God in the next Hercules movie?
I remember I was in a play of beauty and the beast and one of the producers was saying how the napkins look like their from Athens. He then went on to tell me about this Cruise production.

I got the Sutton Foster/Susan Egan joke LOL
I would like to see a video with Dan doing a "Try not to laugh challenge" but every laugh is something like 10 dollars to charity.
ok I don't totally disagree about Sutton Foster, but I do wanna say that I got to see her in Anything Goes when it first opened, and it was one of the most incredible performances I'll ever see in my life
It works as a stage musical so WELL I’m so happy Hercules is finally getting its flowers 🌸
Dan you were an ICON as always.
But Kenny, that editing, chefs kiss! And the sound effects. Great work!
Wow!! What a wild ride!
Moment of silence for Kenny's struggles with pain and panic.
I would love to see a evolution of hercules in the parks
The blonde belter kinda has the same design as Helen of Troy from the Hercules animated series.
I’ve never watched hercules but I’m watching this because it’s Disney Dan ❤️
I love learning about cruisicals from Dan, only way I would ever know about them or see them, and I laugh the whole way through!😂
I actually saw the cruise musical on the Wonder a million years ago and it was so fun!
The Paper Mill Playhouse versions was very low budget and is clearly only intended as source material for the cash cow that is licensing for school and community theatres.
Thank you!
Everyone and their brother is gushing about it and I'm like: "hey...this looks kinda cheap."
It was very disappointing:( I was so excited to see it
the algorithm needs to post up….i love this video and your obscure disney musical videos in general, dont let the dummy algorithm deter you from giving us more!!!
Dan laughing makes me feel alive
As an alto, the Sutton Foster joke definitely registered with me lol
I love what you do
I would have given Disney way too much of my money for them to have tried to strap wigs on a horse and put it on stage in the middle of a cruise ship
Yeah, he said “did you expect them to fly a horse through there” and yes, I did. This is the company that did the Jungle Book in balloon form.
I really hope the future for stage production Hurcules is bright, it seems so fun and campy. With news saying the live action version is going to be a “modern” take, it makes me a little worried they’re going to botch my favorite Disney movie.
Was lucky enough as a kid to go on a few DCL cruises in the very early days, I LOVED THIS SHOW SO MUCH
I remember seeing this show on my first Disney cruise back in 2006!
You had me at musical!❤
Hercules is one of my fav movies and to see it become a musical is awesome! Hopefully it goes to Broadway bc I would love to see it! Dan me and family love to watch your vids together and we all love how u make us laugh and smile
Pain and Panic are my favorite Hercules characters!
Hercules the Muse-ical seriously just made a teletubbies joke.
Oh god
Imagine if the live action could have half the energy of this muse ical 🥳 they could never. This vid made me so so happy and nostalgic, Hercules has a special place in my heart and hearing you talk about it really filled me with joy. Also puh-lease talk more about the awesomeness that is Susan Egan !!
A lot of fun, hoping this is coming to the Hyperion in Disneyland after Rogers the Musical’s run
LOVE THE NEW INTRO ANIMATION
I always love your content. Plus I die laughing at your jokes. You’re hilarious. Love that GOT EM segment XD I remember when you compared Ursula with rooomba or Maggie simpson being a potato sack with a head on it. You make me laugh when you describe characters in theme parks XD
I didn't knew this musical existed until now, but, thanks Dan, this was a great video for a great day like today. Happy saturday and i hope i see you soon for more. God bless you and greetings from Colombia.
Your content on Disney theatre productions are definitely my favorite type of videos!
Hades is a Teletubby LOL
Loving Dans Shirt and this was a insane and ridiculous and fun Cruisical from what this sounds like
I saw this show as a kid and thought it was absolutely hilarious. As an adult, I still remember it fondly.
I'm loving the musical reviews! Any chance we'll see you in DCA when Rogers premieres?
At least it's not forgotten anymore
This is why I need to go on a Disney cruise!😂
I love the cruiseicals so much. They are so chaotic.
Wait where can I watch these pro shots though?😩
I was fortunate to see this show on the Magic before it was gone. It was a enjoyable show.
Many shows, games (like the Hercules Disney Quest game with good and bad endings), and events of the past I hope to find on TH-cam vs lost in history.
I'm one of the nine that love and appreciate the Susan Egan/Sutton Foster joke. Thanks Dan!
I seen that Hercules show on The Wonder. I remember loving
The Muses.
Hercules is one of the best 90’s Disney films!!!
My favorite Hercules character is Phil. He’s so funny, and I love Danny DeVito!
HEY IM A BIG FAN!
After Toy Story The Musical....Now It's Hercules!
We love this movie and music! Do you think since Percy Jackson has started making the rounds in student productions that perhaps the Greek Mythology theme will make a comeback?
omggggg the susan egan energyyyyy spot on
A little bit sad I never got to see the glorious chaos that was this crusical.
I remember when my family went to Disney world I saw the frozen sing along and they made really funny jokes about COVID 19 and TikTok. The hosts Did AMAZING!!
I’m currently watching Hercules the animated series 😊
Hades is definitely my favorite character of the movie. His dry wit and sarcasm helped shape my personality.
Honestly, who’d have thought that the Toy Story cruise-ical took the spot of this very show.
I must say it looks pretty good. Not amazing and not awful
Love this video! It was a fun watch
Love the Sutton Foster shade.
Great video Dan!
Kenny, thank you again for the Twin Peaks insert.
Hercules is a great movie, the the inaccuracy holds it back for me
Please do a video on Island Magic. This was a little show done by the Fab5 and friends in the Buena Vista Theatre. And was all about the characters preparing for guest arrival to a Castaway Cay. I love Susan Egan! My diamond 💎
My Diamond.
Pain and Panic are the best villain sidekicks, fitting since Hades is my favorite villain
I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this because I got a backstage behind-the-scenes tour, but there will be a new Broadway musical of Hercules coming soon
Oh my gosh. To be honest, after seeing parts of it, I do love the costume. But it’s Hades that need work.
I actually saw the Disney Cruise Line musical. Did I enjoy it? Not really. The ship was rocking really bad. My family all was sick just trying to get any enjoyment at all and the curtains and set pieces were moving quite a bit
Iconic.
OMG Noises Off. My high school theater troupe performed that and I was stage manager, meaning I got to choose the intermission/scene change music...and I picked music from Kingdom Hearts 1 xDDDDDD
Hades, straight up! Loved the video, recent subscriber as of yesterday, Love the Disney content! Very wholesome! Love the Laugh!!!!
Your videos are so interesting and hilarious! You make me laugh a lot! Love all the Disney costume Character videos ❤
Dan do you mean hunkules!
Great video 😀
Hey Disney dan did you forget there was a Cinderella musical on the Disney Cruise
Amazing
A HERC CREDIT CARD?!
every time yall use the twin peaks intro I lose my shit
As opposed to the animated movie which was also extremely campy.
