Great video. I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting into this hobby and I’m ready to pull the trigger on the digital 132 race to victory set. Glad to see someone like me who’s just getting into it and has limited space
That's awesome to hear. Be aware that the Mercedes in that set is one of the fastest carrera makes. The X bow on the other hand....is not. It's all part of the fun and I love my track. Welcome to the hobby and consider joining the community Discord, we talk slots all day! Thanks for watching and feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Cheers! 😀
Hi Joe, I like your setup and will watch the growth of the track and scenery. I also just started building my permanent track in a small place. Keep the video's coming. Michael
Nice video and track! Congrats @IrrerasCarrera. Can you give me more details about your scenario? I am starting with Carrera tracks and I want to know more about the trees and the grass you made. They look nice.
Thanks dude! Please feel free to contact me via email or any other link in my bio. The dark green grass is thin carpet and the lighter green is a moldable grass matt from Woodland Scenic. Same with the colored trees but the green ones I made the bases out of the felt pads you put under Charis or furniture. hope that helps :)
Great layout. If you were going to put in a technical section when you end up updating your layout, I was thinking it would be on the right hand side of the table, not the left where you have the trees. At least then once you get through the technical section you can blast back down your main straight.
Thank you. I've been contemplating that too. Another idea was to continue the death curve and make a winding road up a "mountain" and then come racing down. Thanks for the input. I will consider for sure.😁
a very nice setup you have. i like the different shades of green and scenery you added. my layout is confined to 9feet by 6feet,so i have to work within that space., over all you have a great setup
Thank you, I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible. Once I find the track layout I'm 100% happy with I will add scenery that's more permanent. Race the space!
Have been enjoying your channel and thought I should go to the beginning. Nice intro, have been watching other channels intros getting ideas for mine. Not sure how many videos I’ll produce really depends on how it feels. Thanks for the inspiration 👍… Ron
Absolutely! let me know when you start so I can sub. If you need ideas or just want to brain storm a bit, feel free to email me or join our Discord. all in my bio. Not that Im a professional but I know the struggles of starting a channel lol. Thanks so much for commenting and good luck!
Nice looking setup! I've just subscribed and am looking forward to what comes next! I also have a small area to work with but have had the track up for three years and I'm still just as giddy about it as when it first went up. Enjoy the hobby to the fullest and I'm eager to see more videos from your channel! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays! Dennis
Thanks a lot Dennis!! A Merry Christmas to you as well. My goal is to post a new video every week or at least every two. Thanks for the sub its greatly appreciated
Hi Joe 👋 like your track layout ,kinda similar set up to mine as in wanting a long straight and with the underpass too .I'm looking forward to watching your channel .Thank you your subscription and subscribed you back 🤗loved your ending 😅Greetings from Latvia...Harry
Awesome vid Joe!! I love the layout man and welcome to the hobby!! You aren't joking it isn't cheap, but what is nowadays?!😭 Enjoy buddy, it's worth every penny, in this case, lots!! 🤣🤘 Merry Christmas and happy holidays, can't wait to see that Porsche! 🎄
Hahahah, I can imagine!! Just like when we were kids, no one will ever know if you get the re-wrap job just right. Though, maybe a little bit of evidence of tire wear. Quality assurance is what they call it I think? 😂Enjoy buddy! Can't wait to see what you think of them!@@IrrerasCarrera
hi there did you combine 2 tracks or just bought the pieces to make that 38 feet. . what was the lenght and width of the table you made . thx for viewing my inquiry
It's one Lap to Victory set with a switch track 30367 Extension Set. The pit lane does not add length. I have one extra R1 curve for a total of 13 on track. I will post the plans in my bio. My table is made up of three 6x4 feet tables making it a total of 12x6 feet long. There is one 2x4 extension table where the hair pin is and a 1x2 foot lip at the back. I would recommend, if you have the space, 7x13 is Ideal to accommodate the shoulders. If you have more questions please feel free to email me irrerascarrera@gmail.com www.softyroyal.de/?t=5e9e86110
Hi and everything looks very nice. I'm considering doing it and was wondering about your bridge. Did you make it or can you buy it? It looks great. Thanks Mark
Thank you Mark. The bridge is just a regular track with some foam I got from work and cut it to size. There are overpass sections you can buy from Carrera that come with supports so you don't have to make anything. The add on has two straits that have an incline/ decline pre-made.
Oh Jesus, dont insult mom. You should know better. They'll think you were raised in a barn. Dont let this happen again. LOL. Good stuff and thanks for sharing
