Please note that this is a 5 star adventure and is tuned for 5 star champions. You can complete it with champions that are below that threshold, just know that you are in for a challenge. Even with 5 star champions, it is still a challenging adventure and that is intentional.
A very good tip for everyone who goes through Ethereal Remitter: get the power that makes everyone summon 3 golden narwhals at the beginning of the game. This will prevent the opponent from summoning the bonus unit that he would normally summon (in the case of the last fight, it will prevent turn 1 free Swain and give you a big advantage)
Great video as always toast! Figured i might drop what i used to get the 5 wins with no five stars and hopefully it might help some people. Runeterra: asol 4 star, relics dont matter. Gwen 3 star, the beast within(can be replaced with trollking’s crown no prob), luden’s tempest and crownguard. Both of these were pretty straight forward and won first try. - Demacia: Morgana 3 star, grand general’s counterplan, archangel’s staff and chemtech duplicator. Focus on buffing up morgana with spells and champion nodes in the adventure and use her lifesteal as sustain. The gold sister from her invoke helps a ton too. First node is the hardest by far but when you start scailing it gets a lot easier. Managed to get this first try but i can definetly see it taking a few attempts with worse rng. Powers focused on tempo and stalling are king for her here, trifarian might, hold it!, and any cost reduction or mana powers will make it a lot easier. - Ionia: Yasuo 3 star, tempest blade, guardian angel and everfrosr. I expected this to be one of the easiest ones but it was actually one of the hardest. The enemies themselves arent really a problem, the big threats will be killed by yasuo or just perma stunned but the constant damage you take both from the gatebreakers and the enemy spells really ads up. Some sort of healing or sustain power will help a lot and i ended up needing both revives to win. - Piltover and zaun: Jinx 3 star, packed powder, the scourge’s stash and turret plating. As long as you draw jinx, she will always be free as long as you can afford to play any other card first. Getting her down and activating the turret plating will give you tons of breathing room by making your nexus take a lot less damage. Since jinx doesnt have any hard removal you will need to get a bit lucky with either getting removal spells or powers that let you control the board. As long as youre not getting killed on board, you will eventually win with this setup. Hopefully this can be of use to someone struggling.
I just need to beat Swain with a Demacian champion, but I can't do it with Lux, or Lux Illuminated. I've seen that it's possible with Morgana but I don't have her unlocked. What build did you use for Lux Illuminated? I'd appreciate any suggestions.
In my first Swain run he didn't summon himself at the start of the game because it only summons the unit from their deck and it happened he has all the copies of the card in his hand 😂
I would also add Death Lotus as a dangerous card in the Reckless Trifarian battle (for obvious reasons). It's fast speed and there's basically no way to counter it if there is a big combat happening with many of your units involved.
Keep up the great guides and content. Channels like yours keeps the game alive. And I think LoR's dev team realize this too, given the recent, exclusive interview(s)
Look for Disarmed power: Enemies have -1|-0. The Citybreakers are going to be 0|4 instead of 2|8 because the Disarmed modifier prevails first. This helps a lot.
Hi @SpicyToastGaming, Excellent guide, in addition to the 5 champions you mention to achieve this adventure, you could consider Ashe 4 stars, she turned out to be quite solid to beat Swain with relative ease.
I lost twice with Jinx trying to go for the hard encounter for the bonus power and won easily avoiding it. Would only recommend this path if you are using GGC so you can play her again every turn!!
ehm... could you please tell me how you did that? i have two major issues with jinx: 1) if i dont draw her, im complete dead 2) even IF i draw her, ive lost around 20 health before im able to stabilise.. so i might be able to do 3-4 fights, if im lucky and draw jinx and then im dead. the only way i can imagine winning this with jinx is, that i roll the legendary revive ability, which gives me 30 extra live each fight. is there another way please? ...my jinx is 4 star.
Asol definitely will still be a fairly easy win but I have to admit that a couple of the fights were waaay closer than they had any right to be. So still really important you get good powers and plenty of cheap invokes to get Asol and his Champions/Celestials on the board ASAP.
The only way I could beat this campaign with 3 stars champion using Morgana with epic Death Foil to always get life steal when attacking and power up her attack with Corrupted star fragment. First power is enfeeble strike to reduce enemy power. Dang it was really bloody frustating. So far, no luck with other champion who doesn't have nexus heal or lifesteal in their deck.
Why can’t we break down monthly challenges like this? We have unlimited tries for swain adventure, so I don’t need to watch a guide on it. Monthly adventures however, we spend 5 seconds talking about each one- with surface level tips that most experienced players already know.
Shadow isles supports are also great. Because there is 1 spell in SI that obliterates all units summoned this turn that were not played... and all the units in round 1 aren't played
Just Jinx and Swain Run missing, i will do it later. i did the 3° for the Platinum Vault (something i really like to Grind for when i see it) until i really need i just will chill and do it later
A weird quirk of the manasoul student that should be noted is that even though on paper they should start with 2 manasoul students (1 from the power, 1 from the game start: suimmon me item) they actually only get 1.
Ionia: I use Yi and hard roll for Wild Inspiration / Spellslinger. Yi can go infinite stats so he can pretty much oneshots the nexus. Add in Chosen so he can have regen naturally and avoid being damaged.
You should mention for the gloryseeker that they have the reputation General that cost 6 if they have reputation and rallys on summon. That thing can hit very hard when its not expected.

I tried recently with Disarmed power: Enemies have -1|-0. but The Citybreakers are going to be 0|8 not 0|4, maybe they changed that.

Legion Marauder also loves to use their Iceborn Legacy on their Cirybreakers.
Shen, Aphelios and Katarina ( with 2 Star Gem ) are the best support champs for who needs S rank.
Shen is definitely one of the best support champions for this adventure.

I’ve beat him with Asol, Gwen, Jinx, Morgana, and Viego. I’ve much more enjoyed the swain adventure than the Liss adventure.

I got 3 successful runs with Viego, Vex, and Morgana, all 4 star. Pretty close with Gwen, but should really be focusing on Piltover and Ionia.
