I've got one too and love it. The thing that shocked me the most is how well it pedals. I knew the maestro suspension and geometry would mean it bombed the dh's but the way it pedals kinda freaks me out lol
Cool review and stunning new Reign, I painted my 2021 Reign with that colour, hahaha.... Have you tried the pevious Reign model, if you do, how do they compare unbiased answer?
I have not so I would have do defer to what I have read. Apparently this one has a more comfy climbing position and more travel but I haven't ridden the other (which was basically and over-shocked trance and not really a ground-up design)
Very nice bike. You compare this to your enduro bike, I thought the reign line was an enduro bike. I'm interested in a downhill biased trail bike or a trail biased enduro bike. Would you say the reign fits in that segment?
@@laingadaing absolutely. I was comparing it to the bike model specialized Enduro. It's a little bit confusing that the specialized Enduro is specialized's Enduro bike but the giant reign is Giants enduro bike. I would say the reign, especially if you would put an air shock on it would be exactly what you're looking for. It has one of the lightest frames and some of the best climbing manners in the Enduro bike field and doesn't feel like a big smasher tank
I weigh 190 lbs so probably nearer to 200 geared up. A 450lb coil is actually a little on the stiff side but a 425 is too soft for sure. I just got the RS superdrluxe coil with hydraulic bottom out but i busted a wheel and am waiting to test it. The fox felt really good, though. I can definitely tell I have more rear wheel traction and carry speed well. I dialed in a lot of compression on that shock but it still felt plush compared to most air shocks. I'm definitely sticking with coil as the main place I ride this bike is legitimately one of the roughest bunch of downhills in the USA for constant chunk. If I lived somewhere not as chunky, and money was no object, I would probably switch to an air shock just to save weight and maybe pedal and pump slightly better.
How it rides starts at 4:30

Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks for the info.
Hows the bike going?
Wonderfully before the weather hit. Swapped to rockshox coil with hbo
Im 6ft... giant put me bang in the middle of the large, I can see it might be a well balanced bike for me?
I would think so
Hey Klinton, I'm getting a versoin of this bike and you changed the coil. I was wondering how much you weigh?
Also how does the coil shock feel on the trail. Too linear? or just fine?

@@nathanchien7232 IDK if you have seen my update with the springdex but it's amazing now that I got the rate dialed in
