Your dredge is setup all wrong for that material, the mats were completely packed with sand and washing it all out the back. You should have gotten that much gold from a few prospecting pans. That dredge should be catching several grams worth of gold not a few flakes, in that time.

@@excitedbox5705 cleaner water, less material ran at once will work 100 times better. Plus the dredge was getting buried so the pitch was completely off.

@Kyle thieman... first off...great video! Next thing...have you done a cleanup of the dredge hose itself? I've been wondering if the corrugated hose catches anything? New video perhaps?

And I am pretty sure the inside is all smooth the corrugated part is just on the outside.

Unfortunately, I am once again not impressed by such small amounts of gold but it's interesting to some.Seems a bit salty 🧂 to me. (I just go out and pick it up by the the handfulls right off the sacred grounds of the Squach.) I actually enjoyed your video but I had to see if you actually read comments.

He and I definitely have a different opinion about INSANE GOLD CLEANOUT. Feels like clickbait. I couldn't tell if he had 1 gram or 50 grams.

You should put some magnets bellow your blue funnel so you can separate the black sand/iron.

Love the content but I’m just starting out, I’m assuming river = loads of sand, water=water with dredge, comes down to pitch and volume to = gold! I just love watching this type of stuff keep it up man. It’s more gold than u started with.

Should get a ski boot and mount the clip for it on the nozzle and just chill in a chair or on the bank moving your foot around while you practice making arrow points maybe cast out a line 😂 but nah for real thank you again for the long, amazing formats you make your videos into, I've said it many times but I actually really enjoy the way you let us see a lot of the work that goes into it rather than cutting out 90% of your day and effort like most other people do, it truly is great to have you back releasing content, you're a true legend and hero of TH-cam dude and I appreciate tf outta you 💜

Just made a habit for the small fish that were in that puddle they were going to die in after the river got lower now they have a surviving chance to get back to the main river after a good rain. Also stirred up sediment for all the fish and other wild life that feeds on all of that stuff.

I've seen other videos on dredging and watched a fight and a guy get fired over bringing the nozzle up and sucking air and blowing everything in the box out with the surge. Have you noticed that or haven't you seen your dredge when you do that letting it suck air thing? 🤔🫣

    • @Aaron_Hanson

Tests have been done by dream mat to address the surge affects. They’re next to void. At least 97% capture rate for little metal discs.
I’m Australian so I don’t know freedom units that well but I believe they used brass discs about 1/4 inch or less?
They looked to be about 4-6mm.
