I bounced between Myelin and Byf a lot while I played Destiny 2, but with how rough things got towards the end I don't blame him for diversifying his content. Bungie was just bad at maintaining this beautiful world that we were introduced to a decade ago. Even Aztecross started diversifying pretty heavily at the end if I remember right. The fact is that Destiny 2 is a finished franchise which the owners of have shown little to no care for the people playing it or diving into its universe through story.
Same. I loved Myelin’s takes on things and his general attitude. It’s a tough pill to swallow watching him walk away from Destiny, but I get his reasons and wish him luck.

I haven't played D2 in over 8 months now. I gave it up after 10 years but Myelin was my first Destiny TH-camr. You got me into the lore, Matt. You made it an experience. Like you I haven't played Destiny in a while, since Lightfall in fact. Myelin was my go to lore channel. That "Welcome back Guardians" is legendary as far as I'm concerned. Hope he does well moving forward.

I still remember when I was younger 12-14? I was with my mom and we were running errands. I still remember the rose gold color of her phone case. I played the lore of dredgen Yor and propped her phone upright and listened. My mom was confused but Mildly fascinated. I remember she commented how nice your voice was and how weird destiny was. Later that day I curled up next to a small heater in our new house… playing destiny. I’m 19 now, and looking back you were a big part of my childhood. Thank you so much for everything myelin. Peace❤️

Hey Myelin. I typically don't watch much lore content but whenever I get a lore kick you're my go to "lore guy", you just have great energy. I stopped playing destiny after the final shape, it just seemed like a good ending point for me. I doubt you remember but years ago in D1 age of triumph I ran Crotas End and Wrath of the Machine with you while you were streaming. I think I was only in 8th grade at the time, but it's still one of my favorite destiny moments and even gaming moments in general. It's the only time I've gotten to play with any form of content creator. I'm about to graduate college now, looking forward to my future. Glad to see you trying new things I'll stick around to see it, I wish you nothing but success!

You are absolutely right myelin, Bungie literally took all the mystery out of the game/lore and then started bandaid fixing and retcon’n so much lore and never ending story beats till years later with the worst pay off possible. It completely lost its identity. They even had the audacity to say it was hard to make content yet Eververse has so much shit in it with lore tie ins and they keep handing out seasonal exotics with no explanation. Your take and prediction videos that had our imagination running wild were the reason I got so into the lore, you will always be my original lore daddy. Good luck.
It really sucks hearing this from Myelin because it validates how I’ve felt for a while now. These mysteries and curiosities never really pay off. It feels like the narrative writers are focused on making the stories lukewarm emotional melodramas rather than sci-fi fantasy. It sucks to see Bungie coast like this aimlessly. I guarantee you that Frontiers is going to be a weak-splash of a drop, with no strong direction, theme or intrigue.

I knew this game was gonna be like this. The moment I saw the headline back before Destiny 1 that said “Bungie hires professional psychologist to join the Destiny Team.” They hired them for the sole purpose of making Destiny as addicting as possible and they succeeded cause we all came back to it. I left back during Shadow Keep.

At around 12:34 Myelin is realizing that some of these plot lines that are "teased" are probably never fully fleshed out and just a start of an idea that someone says "yeah that would be cool" or they're pieces of Destiny's lore/story that has been shattered since D1 start with horrible grimore cards and the narrative team has been piecing things back together since. And the sad thing is people come and go so often at Bungie that anyone who had their hands on shaping story is probably long gone and the story has been through 4 different people who hated or wanted to put their stamp on things and changed things so much. Or you get things like Calus being rushed as a deciple, Nimbus being forced trash, "the veil" still not making any sense, all while we have so many unanswered/dropped lines and hints we'll never see answered either due to a change in staff at Bungie, or they never had any idea of how to move it forward, or it gets cut due to development choices. It's sad but true that you can get lost in the lore and guess at what things mean, but the likely hood of it mattering or showing up and resolving is rare.
I came to this idea a couple years ago. It's sad honestly. And it explains why D1 hit different. And over the years, I felt like the story has been tossed around a lot. And characters have suffered, or gotten flushed out more. Good or bad.

And the worst part is they rarely if at all delve into any of the plotlines or characters they set up but always want to rehash a lot of the other ones that seemed like they already ran their course (I’m still waiting on Neomuna to get another cloudstrider after Rohan’s untimely demise, btw…. But having Nimbus be the senior Cloudstrider would probably be a massive anyway, so whatever I guess lol)
I came to the conclusion long ago that the "mystery" in D1 was not because of Bungie's confidence in weaving in new story lines with vague but tangible threads for us to craft ideas and eventually build up to some big reveal. A reveal that we may have predicted or one that pulled the rug out from underneath us and really made the story interesting. No, the "mystery" in D1 was Bungie simply not knowing what tf was going on themselves and where to go, and using that to keep us intrigued. Lots of cool ideas, but none trodden too deep. Once D2 rolled around and showed the triangles and then the Witness, while it was good we were getting answers to the "dark" and "light", assigning them entities and sides ruined the grand cosmic mystery and gave a definitive ending. The Winnower seems like another Witness and our Guardian will probably be the chosen one until the servers shut down. Others have made videos and comments saying the narrative corner Bungie wrote themselves into, but you do wonder how thick the blindfold they were forced to wear was, with shifting priorities and employees that stumbled themselves into that corner.
@ It's like when you read about the TV show Lost, or anything JJ Abrams does, he has great cool ideas, but no answer to the questions they bring and he'll figure it out eventually, but he doesn't so it all ends poorly. D1, and the absolute disaster with their story before and after the game launched, was the same. Heck people didn't even have names "The Speaker" "The Queen" "The Stranger" and not to forget what sums up D1's story "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain." I'm worried Frontiers will be more of the same when they say they want to focus on open storytelling and mystery/exploration.. So many people left/quit/fired I imagine few people left working on the story are there who either know what to do, or were behind the good ideas. Yeah things change over 10 years, but I'm not all that confident the next "10" will be any good with the winnower.

12:25 I agree so much, this might be an unpopular opinion but TFS felt exactly like this for me. After a whole decade we got little to no answers, no reveals and no worthwhile payoffs to all the threads and setup over the years what was the point, I felt like a madman when I was disappointed at the finale seeing everybody else so fulfilled while I sat there thinking "that's it? No big twists, no big moments, no moment of clarity" nope just move on to next weeks activities!
This right here. After all the buildup with the Darkness, TFS felt so empty for me. I think the patrol space being solo also made it feel like a hollow ending. I know it’s considered cliche but I would’ve rather a Marvel Endgame finale instead of rehashing Zavala’s backstory….again….I did enjoy seeing Cayde but I’m not a Crow fan so that interaction didn’t hit as hard as it did for other people.
Half the fanbase of this game doesn't notice the difference if you take away the philosophically interesting story Destiny was telling in its lore the first couple of years and replace it with "this guy is bad, shoot him".
Hit the nail on the head with the story team saying “what’s a good theme, vampires”. I respect your decision especially from a lore guy standpoint since the story is always thrown together so predicting the eventuated story and hopefulness of mystery is dead. You were never the other lore guy to me as I always found lore guy one’s voice obnoxious. I’ll miss the lore videos with choice music in the background to relax to but I wish you the best my friend. Do what makes you happy first and foremost.
My issue is that they never even commit to the theme. Its like they dig through the original "ideas" folder of a given season to find a buzzword to use in their devstreams/marketing without checking to see if the game that they're actually building even matches that theme anymore. Bu gie are mortified at the idea of branching out or ever trying to actually change the game in a meaningful way. Every new release is just another "color" of the same shit we've been doing for 10 years, and the few times they do try to shake things up they hedge hard enough that it you can barely tell they tried to shake it up at all.

I'll give an honest bit of feedback here from someone who's been around with this channel since D1. While I likely won't watch as many videos, I personally wanna keep an eye out to see what kind of other games you play. To me, after a certain point it wasn't just about Destiny, it was about how you expressed that content through your unique voice. There were other Destiny lore creators, but your presentation of that lore is what kept me around, adding a bit of mysticism through the type of librarian-storytelling you provided. Really only Byf and Datto were the main content creators I watched with any sort of regularity throughout the last 10 years. The Halo videos were all fun and occasionally one or two games you'd play I'd come and check out... but the main reason why I came back was because of both the game AND you. Destiny or not, if there's something that piques my interest, and you're playing it, I'm gonna come by and check it out. I honestly wish that TH-cam (and audience expectations) didn't push creators to be either just one thing and only that one thing, or a variety/IRL streamer (though that's even harder to break through in). I'm really only unsubscribing for the reason you mentioned - if I'm not gonna be watching every single video, and it hurts you creatively and financially for me to be subscribed, then why keep being subscribed? I'll say, that's the ONLY reason I'm actually unsubscribing from this channel ATM, and it sucks that TH-cam (and potentially even the modern media landscape) is structured this way. I could make a whole rant, but... well, you know the struggle. I will say, I really hope that if you need to pivot to another job to keep up the paychecks that you're able to land something quick. The job market is utter hell and you need to be ready for a months long hell-ride. I don't want to see another person get crushed by this frankly greedy rat-race, yet its obviously happening anyways. In case there isn't much I come back to see, thanks for the memories, Myelin. I mean it, those lore videos helped get me through a VERY difficult time in my life and make friends I otherwise would've likely had trouble making. I wish you luck in future endeavors, and I really hope you are able to make something great from your situation - if not tomorrow, then some day.

We're a bitter and disappointed group of people. A game with so much potential that never pays off essentially. Amazing gameplay that Bungie seemingly refuses to add anything of substance to. It's the same content, cadence, characters, places, etc. over and over. I keep sticking around off and on, hoping that maybe they will eventually listen to their community and actually innovate.

I thought I'd quit when Final Shape dropped but the changes they made gave me hope. Then after Episode 1 Act 3 I realized they'd never be consistent in telling good stories or innovating content anymore. Good luck in the other games!
that's the trouble, occasionally they'll land on a good plot thread and actually follow it to completion but stringing you along with another cliffhanger and promising it'll be resolved at a later date while the plot meanders around in random directions is more important. they know closure means people will drop off.
It's true that I found your channel because of your lore videos but I stayed despite quitting the game over a year ago because you're just a chill dude and I like how you present yourself and your videos. Warframe has so much genuinely intriguing and compelling lore and the warframe community is in desperate need of a "go-to" lore channel especially for new players to understand all the factions and forces at play in that incredible world. Obviously I respect you leaving destiny and taking the time to figure out what you want to do, but as someone who genuinely appreciates everything you have provided for the destiny lore community, and have gotten back into warframe after the years of updates to the story and world building; I cannot tell you how amazing it would be to have a true lore master for Warframe. Warframe as a community is dead asf and more toxic than rust it would be nice if you guys treat him properly I would love warframe lore. Warhammer 40k is a good area as well to grow but again community is toxic asf.
@Bck2TheMnu The number of Destiny content creators that have gone on to become Warframe creators would disprove this assertion. The truth is, it's hard to find a community more toxic than the Destiny community, so just about anything would be an improvement from the current situation.

Been playing WF for 8+ years and it has some of the nicest damn people on there, even legit Vet's who will go out of their way to help you out if you're a new player. The amount of WF and weapons slots I give away to random new players is unmatched, and the thank you and seeing them enjoy the game is the best reward out of it.

I haven't been into Destiny for a few months, been playing Warframe with colleagues. Having a guide is pretty essential, but, your guides will be *shocked* at how much stuff you're getting and how quick some of the grinds are now. It's so much fun, deep lore. I have so little time to watch youtube these days, but when I got into Destiny, it was through you, and I'd watch every upload as I went from starting uni to starting at work, getting known as "Destiny Andrew". If you cover Warframe, even if it's just you playing the game and not deep lore videos, I'll be there for you and that personality. Thank you, Matt, bloody legend.

Like I said then, I started watching 10 years ago when I was 14 and dying to know any little thing about Destiny lore with Taken King. I've also fallen out of Destiny. It's funny, I re-downloaded destiny for the first time yesterday since the release of final shape. I couldn't even play for 30 minutes, it felt like the soul had been sucked out and I couldn't even tell if it was me or the game. I remember playing day one of destiny 1 beta, it's sad that the death of a game that raised me is confirmed dead, not just by the community but in my own head.

Same. I stopped playing D2 after I finished TFS stuff. But Myelin was my guy.
I bounced between Myelin and Byf a lot while I played Destiny 2, but with how rough things got towards the end I don't blame him for diversifying his content. Bungie was just bad at maintaining this beautiful world that we were introduced to a decade ago. Even Aztecross started diversifying pretty heavily at the end if I remember right. The fact is that Destiny 2 is a finished franchise which the owners of have shown little to no care for the people playing it or diving into its universe through story.

Like you I haven't played Destiny in a while, since Lightfall in fact. Myelin was my go to lore channel. That "Welcome back Guardians" is legendary as far as I'm concerned. Hope he does well moving forward.

I still remember when I was younger 12-14? I was with my mom and we were running errands. I still remember the rose gold color of her phone case. I played the lore of dredgen Yor and propped her phone upright and listened. My mom was confused but Mildly fascinated. I remember she commented how nice your voice was and how weird destiny was. Later that day I curled up next to a small heater in our new house… playing destiny. I’m 19 now, and looking back you were a big part of my childhood. Thank you so much for everything myelin. Peace❤️

Hey Myelin. I typically don't watch much lore content but whenever I get a lore kick you're my go to "lore guy", you just have great energy. I stopped playing destiny after the final shape, it just seemed like a good ending point for me.
I doubt you remember but years ago in D1 age of triumph I ran Crotas End and Wrath of the Machine with you while you were streaming. I think I was only in 8th grade at the time, but it's still one of my favorite destiny moments and even gaming moments in general. It's the only time I've gotten to play with any form of content creator.
I'm about to graduate college now, looking forward to my future. Glad to see you trying new things I'll stick around to see it, I wish you nothing but success!

You are absolutely right myelin, Bungie literally took all the mystery out of the game/lore and then started bandaid fixing and retcon’n so much lore and never ending story beats till years later with the worst pay off possible. It completely lost its identity. They even had the audacity to say it was hard to make content yet Eververse has so much shit in it with lore tie ins and they keep handing out seasonal exotics with no explanation.
Your take and prediction videos that had our imagination running wild were the reason I got so into the lore, you will always be my original lore daddy. Good luck.
Pretty much… Bungie really just seems like a parallel to most modern mainstream directors/writers/producers for film and TV.
It really sucks hearing this from Myelin because it validates how I’ve felt for a while now. These mysteries and curiosities never really pay off. It feels like the narrative writers are focused on making the stories lukewarm emotional melodramas rather than sci-fi fantasy. It sucks to see Bungie coast like this aimlessly. I guarantee you that Frontiers is going to be a weak-splash of a drop, with no strong direction, theme or intrigue.

I knew this game was gonna be like this. The moment I saw the headline back before Destiny 1 that said “Bungie hires professional psychologist to join the Destiny Team.” They hired them for the sole purpose of making Destiny as addicting as possible and they succeeded cause we all came back to it. I left back during Shadow Keep.

At around 12:34 Myelin is realizing that some of these plot lines that are "teased" are probably never fully fleshed out and just a start of an idea that someone says "yeah that would be cool" or they're pieces of Destiny's lore/story that has been shattered since D1 start with horrible grimore cards and the narrative team has been piecing things back together since. And the sad thing is people come and go so often at Bungie that anyone who had their hands on shaping story is probably long gone and the story has been through 4 different people who hated or wanted to put their stamp on things and changed things so much. Or you get things like Calus being rushed as a deciple, Nimbus being forced trash, "the veil" still not making any sense, all while we have so many unanswered/dropped lines and hints we'll never see answered either due to a change in staff at Bungie, or they never had any idea of how to move it forward, or it gets cut due to development choices. It's sad but true that you can get lost in the lore and guess at what things mean, but the likely hood of it mattering or showing up and resolving is rare.

I came to this idea a couple years ago. It's sad honestly. And it explains why D1 hit different. And over the years, I felt like the story has been tossed around a lot. And characters have suffered, or gotten flushed out more. Good or bad.
Yup. And the worst part is they rarely if at all delve into any of the plotlines or characters they set up but always want to rehash a lot of the other ones that seemed like they already ran their course (I’m still waiting on Neomuna to get another cloudstrider after Rohan’s untimely demise, btw…. But having Nimbus be the senior Cloudstrider would probably be a massive anyway, so whatever I guess lol)
I came to the conclusion long ago that the "mystery" in D1 was not because of Bungie's confidence in weaving in new story lines with vague but tangible threads for us to craft ideas and eventually build up to some big reveal. A reveal that we may have predicted or one that pulled the rug out from underneath us and really made the story interesting. No, the "mystery" in D1 was Bungie simply not knowing what tf was going on themselves and where to go, and using that to keep us intrigued. Lots of cool ideas, but none trodden too deep. Once D2 rolled around and showed the triangles and then the Witness, while it was good we were getting answers to the "dark" and "light", assigning them entities and sides ruined the grand cosmic mystery and gave a definitive ending. The Winnower seems like another Witness and our Guardian will probably be the chosen one until the servers shut down. Others have made videos and comments saying the narrative corner Bungie wrote themselves into, but you do wonder how thick the blindfold they were forced to wear was, with shifting priorities and employees that stumbled themselves into that corner.
@ It's like when you read about the TV show Lost, or anything JJ Abrams does, he has great cool ideas, but no answer to the questions they bring and he'll figure it out eventually, but he doesn't so it all ends poorly. D1, and the absolute disaster with their story before and after the game launched, was the same. Heck people didn't even have names "The Speaker" "The Queen" "The Stranger" and not to forget what sums up D1's story "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain."
I'm worried Frontiers will be more of the same when they say they want to focus on open storytelling and mystery/exploration.. So many people left/quit/fired I imagine few people left working on the story are there who either know what to do, or were behind the good ideas. Yeah things change over 10 years, but I'm not all that confident the next "10" will be any good with the winnower.
Thank you for being a pinnacle of lore for so many years and utmost respect for saying what NEEDS to be said and I can't wait to see where you go from here!

12:25 I agree so much, this might be an unpopular opinion but TFS felt exactly like this for me. After a whole decade we got little to no answers, no reveals and no worthwhile payoffs to all the threads and setup over the years what was the point, I felt like a madman when I was disappointed at the finale seeing everybody else so fulfilled while I sat there thinking "that's it? No big twists, no big moments, no moment of clarity" nope just move on to next weeks activities!
This right here. After all the buildup with the Darkness, TFS felt so empty for me. I think the patrol space being solo also made it feel like a hollow ending. I know it’s considered cliche but I would’ve rather a Marvel Endgame finale instead of rehashing Zavala’s backstory….again….I did enjoy seeing Cayde but I’m not a Crow fan so that interaction didn’t hit as hard as it did for other people.

Half the fanbase of this game doesn't notice the difference if you take away the philosophically interesting story Destiny was telling in its lore the first couple of years and replace it with "this guy is bad, shoot him".
Same, my investment dropped considerably after we were given a good show with no substance.
Hit the nail on the head with the story team saying “what’s a good theme, vampires”. I respect your decision especially from a lore guy standpoint since the story is always thrown together so predicting the eventuated story and hopefulness of mystery is dead. You were never the other lore guy to me as I always found lore guy one’s voice obnoxious. I’ll miss the lore videos with choice music in the background to relax to but I wish you the best my friend. Do what makes you happy first and foremost.
My issue is that they never even commit to the theme. Its like they dig through the original "ideas" folder of a given season to find a buzzword to use in their devstreams/marketing without checking to see if the game that they're actually building even matches that theme anymore. Bu gie are mortified at the idea of branching out or ever trying to actually change the game in a meaningful way. Every new release is just another "color" of the same shit we've been doing for 10 years, and the few times they do try to shake things up they hedge hard enough that it you can barely tell they tried to shake it up at all.

I'll give an honest bit of feedback here from someone who's been around with this channel since D1. While I likely won't watch as many videos, I personally wanna keep an eye out to see what kind of other games you play. To me, after a certain point it wasn't just about Destiny, it was about how you expressed that content through your unique voice. There were other Destiny lore creators, but your presentation of that lore is what kept me around, adding a bit of mysticism through the type of librarian-storytelling you provided. Really only Byf and Datto were the main content creators I watched with any sort of regularity throughout the last 10 years. The Halo videos were all fun and occasionally one or two games you'd play I'd come and check out... but the main reason why I came back was because of both the game AND you. Destiny or not, if there's something that piques my interest, and you're playing it, I'm gonna come by and check it out.
I honestly wish that TH-cam (and audience expectations) didn't push creators to be either just one thing and only that one thing, or a variety/IRL streamer (though that's even harder to break through in). I'm really only unsubscribing for the reason you mentioned - if I'm not gonna be watching every single video, and it hurts you creatively and financially for me to be subscribed, then why keep being subscribed? I'll say, that's the ONLY reason I'm actually unsubscribing from this channel ATM, and it sucks that TH-cam (and potentially even the modern media landscape) is structured this way. I could make a whole rant, but... well, you know the struggle.
I will say, I really hope that if you need to pivot to another job to keep up the paychecks that you're able to land something quick. The job market is utter hell and you need to be ready for a months long hell-ride. I don't want to see another person get crushed by this frankly greedy rat-race, yet its obviously happening anyways.
In case there isn't much I come back to see, thanks for the memories, Myelin. I mean it, those lore videos helped get me through a VERY difficult time in my life and make friends I otherwise would've likely had trouble making. I wish you luck in future endeavors, and I really hope you are able to make something great from your situation - if not tomorrow, then some day.

We're a bitter and disappointed group of people. A game with so much potential that never pays off essentially. Amazing gameplay that Bungie seemingly refuses to add anything of substance to. It's the same content, cadence, characters, places, etc. over and over. I keep sticking around off and on, hoping that maybe they will eventually listen to their community and actually innovate.
That's what happens when the player base is treated so poorly by Bungie. Destiny community used to be a great one.

I thought I'd quit when Final Shape dropped but the changes they made gave me hope. Then after Episode 1 Act 3 I realized they'd never be consistent in telling good stories or innovating content anymore. Good luck in the other games!
Yea, it's annoying because the gameplay is best in class they just have trouble with literally everything else lol
that's the trouble, occasionally they'll land on a good plot thread and actually follow it to completion but stringing you along with another cliffhanger and promising it'll be resolved at a later date while the plot meanders around in random directions is more important. they know closure means people will drop off.
I quit after the Final Shape and haven’t looked back. Glad Bungie isn’t stealing my money anymore.

Warframe lore brotha!!! Warframe has so much genuinely intriguing and compelling lore and the warframe community is in desperate need of a "go-to" lore channel especially for new players to understand all the factions and forces at play in that incredible world. Obviously I respect you leaving destiny and taking the time to figure out what you want to do, but as someone who genuinely appreciates everything you have provided for the destiny lore community, and have gotten back into warframe after the years of updates to the story and world building; I cannot tell you how amazing it would be to have a true lore master for Warframe. Warframe as a community is dead asf and more toxic than rust it would be nice if you guys treat him properly I would love warframe lore. Warhammer 40k is a good area as well to grow but again community is toxic asf.
@Bck2TheMnu The number of Destiny content creators that have gone on to become Warframe creators would disprove this assertion. The truth is, it's hard to find a community more toxic than the Destiny community, so just about anything would be an improvement from the current situation.

The amount of WF and weapons slots I give away to random new players is unmatched, and the thank you and seeing them enjoy the game is the best reward out of it.

I haven't been into Destiny for a few months, been playing Warframe with colleagues. Having a guide is pretty essential, but, your guides will be *shocked* at how much stuff you're getting and how quick some of the grinds are now. It's so much fun, deep lore.
I have so little time to watch youtube these days, but when I got into Destiny, it was through you, and I'd watch every upload as I went from starting uni to starting at work, getting known as "Destiny Andrew".
If you cover Warframe, even if it's just you playing the game and not deep lore videos, I'll be there for you and that personality.

Like I said then, I started watching 10 years ago when I was 14 and dying to know any little thing about Destiny lore with Taken King. I've also fallen out of Destiny. Recently I solod a few dungeons in the game after not playing since August/ September. The magic is gone. Thank you and the rest of the D2 lore Creators. You definitely expanded my love for something far beyond its surface value, and that's priceless, your passion was passed on to everyone else and it created a great community while it lasted. You were one of the first channels on TH-cam I ever watched, watched you religiously, was rooting for you through all the PHD stuff, you getting married and having a kiddo! Same with the DDU pod to the dcp.
For me, I find myself having a lot less time and not watching as much as life has gotten more complicated and busy.
I just wanted to say thank you for putting yourself out there, for providing awesome content and constant laughs for all those years!! I’m not unsubscribing or saying bye, just realized I haven’t vocalized a “thank you” in a while!!

For me, you were THE destiny lore guy, but it only makes sense for me to stick around with you because you're right about Destiny. You hit the nail on the head with "Destiny is a gameplay driven game" and for me, it showed the neglect for the core of the game when they just abandoned Gambit. Truly it should be the best encapsulation/microcosm of Destiny as an experience, and just like the game as a whole, they abandoned it. I'm excited to see more of you while freed

It's funny, I re-downloaded destiny for the first time yesterday since the release of final shape. I couldn't even play for 30 minutes, it felt like the soul had been sucked out and I couldn't even tell if it was me or the game. I remember playing day one of destiny 1 beta, it's sad that the death of a game that raised me is confirmed dead, not just by the community but in my own head.
