Mine has Wifi and GSM service. I get internet from a SIM card installed in a dongle attached in the unit and I also get WIFI in the garage. If you don't have mobile internet, you would need to use your phone to share internet with a mobile hotspot. You can use the fake ApplePlay app to see see texts and any android email client to see your email. @@justprojects1038 I was able to get in contact with them and get it installed. I told them about the Bluetooth mic issue and they sent me one to be installed with the unit free of charge. Should've came packaged with it, but everything is good now
@@douglaswalker2201 Did you add an external bluetooth mic that paired with the head unit? Did this solve the audio issues with the hands free? I might try this if it's a solution. I don't take many calls in the car, but the handsfree on my unit is basically useless while driving.
@@justprojects1038 yes. The vendor sent me one that connects to the unit for free and people can hear me loud and clear now
Does your trunk mounted sub still work? Thanks.
I need to investigate this a little more. I definitely have a lot of base but I’m not 100% sure it’s not coming from the other speakers. I’ll try to find some Bass Demo tracks and report back.
Do They Have This For IPhone IOS As Well ?
I Just Bought Mine From My Buddy That Is The Original Owner He Bought It Brandnew In 2007’ & Drove From South Jersey All The Way 3 Hrs North To Buy This Car In 07’ I Now Own It, & It Has 229,565 On The Clock, But It’s All Highway Mileage, His Company Who He Worked For Back Then Paid For The Maintenance, Mileage, & Paid His Car Payment, So Anyway, I Was Wondering If I Can Upgrade This Original Headunit, To A New Touchscreen Unit
Curious to know how this system stands up to environmental stress.
So far everything is still working as it did when I installed it ( which is not perfect but the same ). I work at home and my car spends much of its life in the garage, so perhaps I am not the best test case.
Hey I Was Wondering The Same Thing, Can I Change My Headunit To A Upgraded Touchscreen Headunit , That Will Work With Bose System, Mine Is A 2005’ FX35 AWD, Is This Worth It, & The Quality Shitty Or What?
Great video ! Can the stock back up camera be used ?
My FX35 did not have a stock back up camera. I think some versions did and you can use that backup camera with this system.
Yes, stock camera works well. I installed Teyes TPRO on my Infiniti FX45 2003, and I can confirm that rear view camera works perfectly.
@@AndreiZhukouski the Teyes Tpro is a different interface and hardware to this one. So that one can work with the stock back up cam? I heard that model might not, can you confirm? Thanks.
Hello again, thanks for the video. I ordered my product and it already arrived. Thanks to you my install was painless, quick question though, which sim card did you purchase for yours? I am having trouble activating my Sim card. Thank you
I also had trouble activating my sim. I am using GoogleFi because they offer free data sims tied to your phone plan. I'm sure I had to restart the head unit after I installed it (from android not just power on and off ) . I also used the dongle and not the sim slot on the back of the unit. I remember deciding it likely would not work at all and then it started. Now I get 4G data reception.
@@justprojects1038 You Sir are awesome!! Only issues I have have back up camera, I see the lines but no image, my mechanic thinks he'll have to install the aftermarket that came with the unit since factory isn't working. Also can you tell how you restarted the system for the sim to work..? Please. Thanks again
I just bought my play sisters 2007 FX35 Infiniti only $165,000 mi to the second owner and my radio doesn't work so thank you so much
How Much Did U Spend For This Unit? & They Only Make This For Android , Not For Users
Hallo ich habe das gleiche Radio es hat einen Tag funktioniert ,und jetzt habe ich kein Ton was kann es sein
The only thing I know to check is the amplifier setting in the car settings.
I want to upgrade my 2003 FX45 only 75k on her. I wonder if these upgrades are worth it. I really hate that Infiniti integrates their radio with climate control unit, etc. It is why I have not bought a newer Infiniti at this time, Do you think this upgrade is worth it? Looking to buy the same style model radio you have installed and Supposedly they now come with 8gb or Ram and upto 256gb of space, as well as Wifi, 5G Cellular, GPS, and Bluetooth 5.2
How many Ram did your radio come with? What are the specs if you don't mind me asking, Just want to compare to today's Model.
Hey, men thanks for such a great well explained and detailed videos im about to buy one of this vehicles as a “I want this” project vehicle so i can customize it the way i want it and this videos has give me so much confident in getting it. Thanks
My friends still can't beleive mine is now 17 years old. I think Infiniti was ahead of their time with the body design of the FX.
@@justprojects1038 I agree newer vehicles are cool but theres so much limitations when it comes to customize it the way you want to, this is why i got it so i can do things that i want to it.
Nice video. Try to snap the two bottom clip first then the top ones it might get into place .
I might try this. It feels like the dash is a little to narrow so I thought about a 1/4” - 20 turnbuckle and a couple of long bolts to try and spread the dash opening a little.
What sim card dis you use and did it get you internet and gps?
I have a GoogleFi data only SIM card which is free ( only pay for data ) with my GoogleFi service.
Hi, i want to know does this infotainment comes with diferrent skin for the home screen.
I’ve not been able to change the Home Screen. I think what you see is what you get .
Having after market subs, would it still work?
I did not use any of the RCA jacks so I can't remember what the input / output options are. If I have it out of the dash again I'll look and follow up.
Sounds good! Thank you
to disable noice - buy American International Line output converter
I might give this a try if I have it out again.
Bonjour à conbien vous avez acheté ça ?
I ordered online on AliExpress from a seller in China. It shipped directly to me in the USA.
Thanks for this
How can I reset my navi because I don’t know the password
I think you can do a factory reset without the password in the settings menu.
You did not mention the reverse camera ???
Does it support it ?? Simple question
It does support reverse camera but my 2004 FX did not come with a factory camera so I would need to add an aftermarket camera .
Saludos desde 🇵🇦Panamá estoy por comprar una FX tus videos me ayudaron mucho. Saludos amigo
I see there's different prices for the Android unit Does it matter which one to get?
When I bought you had the option of slower and faster processors and cellular versus WIFI only. I went for the fast processor with cellular.
Ok. So I’ve received my new Android unit with the screen cracked what should I do?
I need the screen replaced idk where I can take it to get fix
@@Greezy26 Send it back.
@@photograffyc2139 it will cost me more to ship back.
Great videos! Thanks for the review 👍🏾
It's irrelevant with the video but do you have any issues with the engine? considering to buy one
I have a small oil leak that I have mostly ignored. I try to keep it topped up and notice a few small spots on my garage floor. My engine performance feels good. I think Nissan used this engine in a few Nissan and Infiniti models in the same era.
Can you use Bluetooth on it?
Yes, but in my experience the microphone is not very good. The seller told me it's been upgraded in newer versions but I don't have any way to tell.
If you inserted antena adaptor in this unit when car acc was on, you mite burn out antena amplifire, thats why you cant find any channels. Try buying most chepear china antena and tested. If it works - repair or replace your original antena unit. Sorry for bad english
Or maybe you didnt plug antenna power
I might try to bypass the factory antenna with a magnetic antenna just to see if the reception is a much better. I don't use the radio very often so I have just dealt with the poor reception. Thanks for the advice.
Does it have Bluetooth?
Mine has bluetooth for music and calls. I have not been impressed with how callers hear me when I am driving. I don't use mine for calls. When I've mad calls with the engine off I get told the audio is really quiet. Hopefully I just have a bad mic and not all units are the same.
How much for the unit
I think I spent $630.00 on Ali Express
@@justprojects1038 I saw some for 400$ is that the right unit
@@Juice1990s There are a few different versions at different prices. I bought mine over a year ago and I bought the most expensive model available. It seems reasonable that there may be some for $400.
@@justprojects1038 yeah i wanna make sure I get the best bang for my buck did they come with a back up camera
did ypurs come with a camra
I did not get a camera with my purchase.
Хочу эту магнитолу, но пока она неадекватно дорогая.
Привет, I agree it’s pretty expensive, but they do have some lower versions with slower processors, no GSM, and less memory for less money.
Thanks for this video,, now i get all info about this product
Thanks for watching.
I got a mini too
Great video 👏
Thank you for watching!
Nice video keep going
Thanks for watching.
good video
Thanks !
In short: its a crap. You dont upgrade on a piece that needs work and upgrades
You are also a Chinese car navigation manufacturer. Can we cooperate and can you help me promote our products?🥰
You have so many issues with this truck. So why update it.go by so truck to your liking. The 2004 infinity is not for you..I love everything about this truck
I am definitely a fan of my 2004 FX. I am just trying to fix a couple of things that have gone wrong after 16 years and share them with other FX owners who might be dealing with the same.
So far Is it worth the upgrade
@@justprojects1038 Thank you sir for all your videos and hard work. I have an 05 FX35 going to do this conversion too. Seriously thanks!
These units are for cheap people to pretend like they're high tech. The audio quality is bad, the fit and finish is bad, the interface is bad. It does everything it says it does, but it does everything badly. Rule of thumb from someone that has spent hundreds of thousands on car audio, Pioneer head units are the only way to go. Pioneer, pioneer pioneer. Drill it into your head. Never buy a none pioneer head unit. Whether its the 160.00 dollar head pioneer has or its the 2700.00 pioneer head unit. Pioneer
