None of these videos help me because none of the cars have a front-facing camera or Distronic unit. I can't remember how the distronic unit connects to the back of the three-pointed star emblem, so My car is in limbo. Nobody shows this on YT
@@jackgross3140 Thank you for that information. I had finally figured it out, put the bumper cover back into place and then realized I had forgot to put the center impact absorber back in place. That turned out not to fit right in the new bumper cover. I then had to put the distronic unit back into a locked position while trying to do it without a clear view. Now the entire bumper cover on the passenger side doesn't fit right and some gaps look bad. Back to the drawing board.

Is it possible to swap the bumper with the 2019 facelift bumper? Or is the shape too different?
I believe it is yes, however will require new grills etc due to the different styling

Hey do you know how to remove the little chrome strip at the bottom of the bumper in the front??
Once the bumper is removed you will see the tabs holding it in place behind, be careful when prying them out as they can be very brittle

U don’t have to remover the splash guard in the bottom to remove the bumper
No, you are right but it’s much more difficult to refit the 2x 10mm bolts afterwards if you don’t remove the under trays.
