  • I turned an old Buffet table into a tortoise enclosure for my wife's Russian tortoise Percy. All paints used are safe for pets after the full curing process.

      I’m also here for thinking about what I can do for my beardie! I’m thinking I could do almost the exact same thing he does but with acrylic or glass instead of the metal wire on the doors to help maintain the heat

    This was incredibly helpful, thank you! My Nelson’s Milk snake recently outgrew her 40 gallon tank, and the bigger ones are PRICEY. I’ve got an old real wood dresser sitting in storage from when I was 15/16. Time to give it a new purpose in life! Thank you so much!

    Not all tortoise's gets to live in luxury! I know I'm late to the party, but I hope Percy loved his new home.

    This is absolutely beautiful. Even down to securing the pointy ends of the chicken wire so the turtle wouldn’t cut its feet.❤

    Omg that is so cool!!! I’m gong to see if my husband can do this for my son for Christmas. Does it stay warm enough inside with having in all open in the front?

    Awesome work dude! I have been thinking of alternatives to buying a glass tank for a beardie and something like this is definitely something i need to look more in to! Im thinkin the doors could also work with glass, maybe if silicone was used to attach it in place?

    Hi thanks so much for this video, I’m thinking of making something very similar for my Russian tortoise and this was a great help. Can I ask how you heat proofed the lamp.

    If there's any chance you see this, would you be able to explain in a little more detail how to properly set up the light fixtures? I want to do this for my snakes, but I'm most worried about making sure the fixtures are safe and reliable.

    • @shirleystrauch1041
      @shirleystrauch1041 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For a snake, you would need a heat lamp cage around the heating bulbs. The cage will keep the snakes from touching the light bulbs directly and burning themselves, so it's very important. You would also want the whole fixture + cage flush with the top so that the snakes can't get stuck between trying to get on top of it or anything. And the middle UVB light depends on the type of snake/the owner's preference based off of your own research. Hope this helped! :)

    Hi there, I know this is an older video but I’m upgrading my hutches for my hedgies. Just wondering what a good, fairly inexpensive brand of drill kit with both small and large size screw inserts would be?
    I’m looking all over amazing. I definitely want something cordless and not too big or heavy. Something for my animal enclosures but also for projects like building household furniture. I’m a pretty petite female, 96-100lbs. My bfs about 167 and can handle a larger drill easier than me. But some of the pieces sections of the hutch are pretty small and a large power drill would probably get in the way and also get a little heavy for me to handle.
    So just a small to medium sized, cordless drill kit, preferably rechargeable rather than battery operated, including small to large sizes of screwdriver inserts as well as drilling bits to drill through the wood of the hutch which has some fairly thin wood which I don’t want to break. Anything I can buy on Amazon that’s affordable would be great!
    Open to any and all suggestions!! Thanks!
    And I absolutely love how your enclosure came out. If I was more handy I would totally make a dresser hutch for my hedgies but I just typically buy from Amazon or Wayfair and put my stuff together even with the very limited sizes of screw drivers that we have haha
    Also any starter tool kit would be nice to have as well. I just got a hammer and a nail kit with nails of various sizes but any sort of starter tool kit with wrenches and other tools that I wouldn’t even be able to make would be very helpful! Thank you!!
